A legend of Underhill for that last penalty save.
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
With Chesham United's regular goalkeeper Sam (son of Dave) Beasant out of today's crucial game against Poole Town with Covid, we had in goal, as an emergency signing, the legendary ex-Bee (125 appearances, 2012-16) Graham Stack. Stack is now 40 years old, and this was his first game for any club since retiring in 2018 when he left Eastleigh. He had an eventful afternoon. With the score at 1-1 midway through the second half, he brought down a Poole attacker who was clean through on goal, was extremely fortunate to escape with only a yellow card, and had no chance with the resultant penalty. Then with about ten minutes to go, Graham made a crucial point-blank save; a couple of minutes later, Chesham equalised, and in the 95th minute got the winner in a 3-2 victory which very much keeps alive our challenge for promotion to Nationwide South. Looking forward to seeing another Stack appearance in our away match at Walton Casuals next Saturday.
