Match Preview - Birmingham City (A)

Post: # 47061Post art1983 »

Football’s back! I'm probably not the only one who still isn’t quite in football mode after the long summer of the Euro's and the Olympic Games, seems like a lifetime ago since Mark Hughes’s epic winner at Burton, but anyway it’s back to business and once again Barnet are away in the Capital One Cup (League Cup) and a similar result to last season’s plum draw at Portsmouth would do very nicely.

There has obviously been lots of changes over the summer a new gaffer. new backroom team, new players and of course the confirmation of a new ground from August 2013. I could go on and on about the off field stuff and the on field stuff for that matter but with only preseason form to go on (so basically nothing) there’s not much to say apart from the side looks young but hopefully the new boys will adapt to League football quickly and the addition of two new signings this week who have many league games already under their belt should help.

Carr, King, Burke, Zigic, Ambrose, these players are frightening prospects on paper but The Bees have nothing to lose tonight, The Bee army will get behind the payers and who knows “expect the unexpected” is very much the words to sum up Barnet at times, hopefully some form and fitness will be achieved ahead of the really big game which will be at Vale Park on Saturday. Enjoy the Game!
