Totally agree, he is the one player who has played well in most games, gives 100%. Such a shame especially at his age. 32. Clutching at straws but hoping it's not as bad as it sounds.

Can we appeal manager sending offs?
You have to remember that referees at this level have to feel the power otherwise they don't get promoted to bigger an "better" things.

And before anyone tries to give me a lecture on how important referees are at grass roots etc etc, don't bother... I've been following the game long enough. This is a different league. Nothing like a Sunday Morning. Sometimes you have to live and breathe it like a fan. I'm pissed off with that challenge on Widdowson tonight. Leg breakers are red cards. Other piddly little misdemeanors are nothing in comparison. I trust the player concerned understands the long term effects of his actions for Joe and us as supporters. Always remember when Warren Goodhind suffered his leg break at Hednesford. He was never the same player. Thd deed was done and there was nothing we could do about it.

Glad we held out and won!!

Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Massive credit to players and staff. They have rightly at times been given severe stick. But credit were it's due to not just come away from Stockport with a point but to come away with all three. And we had chances on break to add a third. So well done lads. Could not of been easy for some of the players who were closest and could see how bad the injury was. seeing a teams mates leg look like it was described must of effected them. But to not just carry on but to hold on for the win and still attack looking for the third. Huge congratulations to them all. Well played lads. Bees forever.

Brilliant result!

I am really happy because I included Stockport and Barnet both to score tonight (11/10) along with a couple of Spanish matches in a treble. Crazy odds -worked out at just over 7/1 in the end.

Well done, Don and the lads! :y:

Totally agree. You said that the commentator at the time said how our players looked so shocked. They really could have been forgiven if they'd gone on to lose after that. They must have pulled each other through by doing it for Joe Widdowson.

Massive result tonight but absolute tragedy for poor Joe. He has been a good player for us, just wish we'd been able to see more of him. Wishing him every best wishes for his recovery.

Well done to the bees. It sounds like Stockport are in all sorts of bother.
Whilst our league position hasn't improved massively, it was a good win for us, and sees us move towards mid table.

Massive blow to lose Widdowson, and thoughts are with him tonight.

The shots lost 2-0 at home to Weymouth, you'd hope we could beat them at our place even with a depleted squad, things are looking up

Sounds like an eventful evening.Great result but overshadowed by Widdowson’s injury. Very sad for him, here’s hoping for a full recovery.

What a terrible injury for Widdowson.

Encouraging that Flanagan put 2 crosses into box that resulted in goals, something we sorely missed against Wrexham.

Sounds like Greenridge is going to be our dominant defender.
