Hartlepool (Away) The Singh When Your'e Winning Thread
So..... Saturday sees the bees travelling up to Hartlepool to take on the Monkey Hangers in another long old trip.
Apparently the players have travelled from Taunton to Middlesborough today which is excellent preparation in my view with a day or two of rest and training in prospect before we play it should offset and of them being weary from the long trip. Well done to TK and Deano for organising this. Due to rail closures the route from New Barnet to Hartlepool on Saturday will take 6 hours involving 5 changes and two replacement buses. This will force many on to the A1 I suspect flooding or no flooding.
On the pitch 76 year old Lennie Lawrence has now been given the job of seeing the Stags through to the end of the season after Daryl Sarll was unceremoniously sacked on 16 October 2024. It is fair to say that many Stags fans wanted Phillips to stay and that Sarll was seen with similar gloom as we had when we replaces Saint Currie with Al Beadle Pub Landlord. In all fairness to Singh, who is still hanging round the Poolies like a foetid monkey turd despite apparently wanting te sell, Lawrence has steadied the ship with 3 wins, 3 draws and one defeat at North Worthing. Like Barnet his team is free scoring but a tad leaky defensively so we could be on for a Daggers style goalathon (will probably be 0-0 now).
With both sides on good runs of form something has to give on Saturday and I think we can be fairly confident of giving a good account of ourselves. I said before these fixtures I'd happily take 4 from Yeovil and Hartlepool and I stick by that. In terms of the team lineup, the core of the team is taking on a pleasingly stable look. The only concern is Nicke who despite his goals looks like something of a fading force and I would hope we could shift the likes of Kizzi and Rye on to give space in the budget for a replacement number 9 to keep him on his toes.
In terms of team lineup expect more rotation with the team something like this:-
--------------------------------Hayes-------------------------------
---------------Tavares---------Oluwu----------Kenlock----------
----Kanu---------------Hobson--------Hartigan--------Coker---
-----------------------Glover------------Browne------------------
---------------------------------Kabamba--------------------------
Subs: Bellagambi, Collinge, Stead, Shelton, Cropper, Brunt, Hall-Johnson
I think with the fixture pileup we are more likely to need cover on the wings than in the middle which is why I have put RHJ on bench for Clifford. Really good bench strength with Okimo, Rye and Grimwood missing out.
Missing this one after a long midweek trek. Hoping we can pick up another 3 points.

Think you have Hartlepool and York mixed up over the stadium name!pools play at the prestige group stadium!
Re: Hartlepool (Irony Stadium) The Singh When Your'e Winning Thread
Well the LNER is definitely York. Railway city, etc. The other half of your thread heading is good though.
Re: Hartlepool (Irony Stadium) The Singh When Your'e Winning Thread
I’d take a point here

Need a win here. Keep powering in the 3 points away and get back to the Hive.
Once a Bee ALWAYS a Bee

I did originally say 4pts return in these brutal few days would be good but how great would it be to win again & stay top for a minimum of 2 more weeks, with all those home games next month & the next one being Ebbsfleet!
Can't see York dropping anything at home to Maidenhead especially after stupidly resting players midweek.

Anyone worked out how to use a VPN with DAZN to watch on Sat?
Was easy with NLTV. Not so obvious with DAZN.

My understanding is that DAZN are seriously hardline on VPN and without actually accessing it abroad and registering abroad with an overseas payment method and address etc you won't be able to get it.BeeInternational wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 19:26 Anyone worked out how to use a VPN with DAZN to watch on Sat?

Just to add if you had an international pass as of November 7th for NLTV then this will still work until December 7th. You just can't buy a new one now.

Yep heard the same months ago & even NordVPN which claims to be the best for DAZN doesn’t work - not sure why they’re so strict as actually costing them revenue if people go to IPTV/alternatives.LeytonBee wrote:My understanding is that DAZN are seriously hardline on VPN and without actually accessing it abroad and registering abroad with an overseas payment method and address etc you won't be able to get it.BeeInternational wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 19:26 Anyone worked out how to use a VPN with DAZN to watch on Sat?

DAZN have also been lobbying hard against IPTV over in Italy, where they've got this national IP blocking privacy shield thing.PBBee wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 22:17Yep heard the same months ago & even NordVPN which claims to be the best for DAZN doesn’t work - not sure why they’re so strict as actually costing them revenue if people go to IPTV/alternatives.LeytonBee wrote:My understanding is that DAZN are seriously hardline on VPN and without actually accessing it abroad and registering abroad with an overseas payment method and address etc you won't be able to get it.BeeInternational wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 19:26 Anyone worked out how to use a VPN with DAZN to watch on Sat?

It's owned by one of the world's richest men who managed to emerge out of the collapse of the Soviet Union as a big winner. It wouldn't be surprising if he'd had some past practice at - ahem - eliminating competing interests.

No Stead and Kabamba on the bench.

No Kanu either. Just when we were getting players back, too.
Wonder if Nicke is being 'punished' for his lacklustre performances of late, unless he's carrying a knock.
Be interesting to see how well Browne deputises up front.
