Attendances say it all.
I suspect if we'd been playing we'd not even have got that many. The weather was horrible this afternoon / early evening.

D&R charged adults £10, over 65s £5, under 16s free. Oldham charged adults £5, ST holders £1. Presumably the others also charged discounted prices. Even with subsidies from PL clubs will be financially hit.

Oldham fan complained that their next round match is a few days before they play us and that they should pull out now.

I stand corrected that is awful. Have to wonder what sort of promotional effort the PL clubs have put into encouraging their supporters to follow this competition.

Halifax 1 - 2 Newcastle 21s (Halifax had Arthurs sent off).
Oldham 2 - 1 Stoke 21s (Oldham had charsley sent off).
Woking 2 - 2 Brighton 21s (Brighton won 4-3 on pens).
85%ers P - P Southampton 21s. (1 more game to add to the fixture list).
Boston 3 - 4 Leeds 21s.
Daggers 5 - 5 Spurs 21s. (Spurs win 5-3 on pens). (RGC came on as a sub & then was subbed 21 mins later so assume he's injured).

Apparently sendings off in these games do not incur suspensions for league matches!

18 Spurs 21s players in the squad. I wonder how many of the 184 paying fans were related to them/ Quite a few I would guess.

Prime showed the Arsenal PSG game.
Discovery/TNT were showing all the other Champions League games including Celtic & Man City.
Sky were showing 8 Championship games, (including quite a few who's 21s were playing in the NLC).

viewing figures, (even for free), are going to be awful on top of really low actual attendances.

That's ridiculous! It's either a proper competitive competition or it's not!

Same as JPT when we played in it, Bondz got sent off against Norwich but didn't miss any league matches. in fact he played while suspended for Crawley in the competition a couple of seasons later and they got fined.
