Massive game. They were fortunate to beat Maidstone yesterday, shouldve lost by more to Chesterfield, and lost Oldham and drew with Wealdstone in recent weeks. Definitely there to be won! Win this, I see no reason we cannot go and finish 4th or even 3rd. Dean's the first to talk about one game at a time and I hope the players will do as some teams may be distracted by a Semi final just a few days later.

With the squad returning to full fitness all round, not everyone is guaranteed a place on Saturday for sure, I don't expect the team to have any distractions.WillesdenBee wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 17:20 Massive game. Re: Woking support
I normally park my car in the Woking Leisure Centre near the ground where you used to get 3 hours free parking. I read on the Woking forum that this has been reduced to 2 hours free. Apparently quite a few people were caught out by this and incurred heavy parking fines, so if you park there make sure you pay in advance for the extra hour.

Just looked up ground and "Chris Lane Terrace"
Love the fact there is a section of the ground called "moaners corner" !

I stood there as a neutral earlier this season. It's uncanny how much it looks and sounds like Underhill's North West Frontier.

Re: Woking support
Can anyone recommend a solid pub nearby to sharpen up before the match? Was thinking about the Sovereigns.

The Sovs is the standard for away fans, tends to be neutral ground with a big mix of both before games. If you come out of the train station on the town side rather than the car park / M&S side you're a 2 minute walk from Spoons, and the Junction Tap if you're more into your craft beer.SteveBee99 wrote: ↑27 Mar 2023, 09:40 Can anyone recommend a solid pub nearby to sharpen up before the match? There's not much beyond the Sovs on the walk to the ground. Unsure you'll have access to the delicious Hogsback beers in the ground, we don't put much of a spread on for visitors. A 330ml bottle for the 15 minute walk would be wise!

You’re not joking, couldn’t even have a cup of tea at halftime because the milk had run out!Chobham Card wrote: ↑28 Mar 2023, 12:18The Sovs is the standard for away fans, tends to be neutral ground with a big mix of both before games. Seems ridiculous to build a big stand like that, knowing its likely to be split between home and away fans and not have any type of secondary bar.
Re: Woking support
There used to be a tea bar midway along the away terrace which was well used when we played them - presumably closed if there was an anticipated low away attendance. I seem to think they closed that and maybe another tea bar because they couldn't get the staff?
Astonishing to run out of something as basic as milk!!!
