Simon Bassey leaves Portsmouth

Post: # 345439Post Roy57 »

I wonder if there would be any chance in getting Simon in as replacement for Mel Gwynett. Would show huge show of intent on clubs side of moving up. Would be great addission.

Unlikely addition I'd think. He'll be looking for a second in command at a higher league or even NL or L2 coach job.

He turned down being number 1 here to be number 3 at a League 1 club, so realistically he's not going to accept being number 3 here

Why would it show huge intent? If we assume DB doesn't know him, what makes you think he'd want him on his team?

He could have been our manager, he turned us down in favour of Portsmouth. His choice. We move on.

DB knows him.

Never say never but like many others I expect to see him pitch up at another EFL club.
