Can't we at least start singing abit more and getting behind the team? Feel like we was very quiet against Southend and have been a few more games this season
Seen posts moaning about having a drummer, but then read about no atmosphere. Cannot have it both ways, and suppose not having a shot at goal until around the 77th min doesn't really aspire the supporters who do sing to do so as not a lot to sing about, DB said the team need to give supporters something to sing about. But for long time we create more noise away from home such as Bromley as we do at home.
You cannot have a decent atmosphere where everyone sits on a pitchside stand. It has never caught on after 9 odd years at The Hive. Only safe standing or a standing area will generate a consistent atmosphere like the old East Terrace of Underhill.
The younger fans who start chants at the back of block B/C are unfortunately up against it.

At away games we make more noise than we do at home.... just take a look at the Football With My Gran vlogs ! This is because everyone can congregate in the same place, and not spread far and wide like we are at the Hive. We have great seats bang on the halfway line but its rather quiet there, where as, in blocks C and E there are people trying to get things going. I do recall the club tried a " singing area " a few years ago and it flopped....
It's not just us, many of our opponents are also better away than at home for the reason stated. And some of our opponents aren't even that good away either.
I don't think our home noise is worse than many others, often our opponents have only sung either straight after scoring or when we've goaded them into responding. The one club where the home fans properly get behind their team is Aldershot, where their singers gather behind the goal.
