Move smoking area away from food

Standing in the queue at the tea hut - we should not have to contend with smoke from smokers. Dedicated smoking area is needed well away from food queues

Is it allowed to smoke inside football-stadiums in England? Here in Norway that is prohibited.

I'd prefer for it to be prohibited - but am sure some fans would no come to any more games!

As long as they are away from a seated area and eating hugs and in the open why shouldn't smokers be allowed to smoke. non smokers won't be standing next to them so what's the issue.

Not saying they can't. But they are smoking right next to the food queue. That cannot be right

Agree entirely. Very thoughtless and irresponsible behaviour

I thought they were not allowed to smoke inside the ground but needed to go out by the turnstiles.

Think couple of the Danish fans were unaware, smoking and drinking in the stand, not done on purpose they were all very friendly, obviously different in lower league in Denmark. Nice to see so many people from different nationalities there last night, long may it continue!

Fair enough if they was not aware of the rules but what was the stewards doing? Surley 1 of them should have been alert and just had quick friendly word to let them know of rules.

By the way I did not see this incident myself just asking the question about stewarding.

The club shut down where smokers went by extending the fencing meaning that everyone is crammed together. By the same token you can't smoke inside grounds, but people do it irrespective so it's better to have an area where it's tolerated away from everyone else, but we've removed that option.

Some grounds are smoke free but the Hive isn't. The only rule is you can't smoke inside or in view of the pitch. It would make sense to have an area painted on the floor by the turnstiles to accommodate smokers away from the food and toilet facilities.

I agree with keeping smokers away from the food. If only some food was available. My (adult) son queued for over 10 minutes at half-time on Friday to try and order a crepe only to be told there would be a 20 minute wait. He was also told the only drinks available were tea or blackcurrant squash. There was only one person serving. Why do we look so amateur almost all the time?
