What’s his asthma got to do with his lack of football ability?

Another goal for Mat Stevens. Matchwinner in the 2-1 victory at Rochdale.

Tutonda sent off with two bookings for Gillingham. Akinde, who started at the weekend, not in the squad.

Pretty sure Charlee Adams played as a trialist for Maidenhead today. Scored a belter from outside the box in the second half.

I watched Farnborough win well at Chesham this evening, with new signing Ricky Holmes joining Sam Deering in the Farnborough starting line-up:

https://southern-football-league.co.uk/ ... ough-Squad

Both of the Barnet old boys were outstanding, with Deering (reportedly on £800 a week, outrageous for the Southern League) running the show from midfield, and Ricky Holmes the fastest and most skilful player on the pitch.

How are Farnborough affording that?! They went bust not long ago

Farnborough go bust once every 3 seasons or so. It’s nothing new for them!

I see Max Crocombe has signed for Grimsby.

I wonder if we were in for him. I quite rated him based on his loan spell way back.

The parade of Barnet veterans visiting Chesham continues unabated. On Tuesday evening, we had Ricky Holmes and Sam Deering, both now playing for Farnborough. Then today it was Ismail Yakubu, now 36 years old, in the centre of defence for Merthyr Town.

(Looking at today's result, it appears that you could do with these three back at Barnet!).

Alfie Pavey matchwinner today!

Mat Stevens can't stop scoring.

Josh Walker scores for Daggers.

Scott McGleish played for Leverstock Green (Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division - step 5), where he is the assistant manager, today ... at the age of 46!

Gavin Hoyte (Maidstone) and Charlie Rowan (Oxford City) were in the NLS TOTW. Wonder whether Hoyte would be an option if we cant get Sesay.

Pavey's goal was really tidy. 30 seconds after coming on as a sub he got between two defenders at the far post to bury a header from a very tasty cross. Had no idea he could do that.

But it really was a good ball in.

We had him in 2015/16, he'd signed on a 2 year deal, he made 21 appearances, then he suffered a serious injury and never appeared for us again.
