Have been meaning to do this for a long time - preserve the records of Play For Your Club for anyone in the future to refer to. We all spent MANY hours playing this game, so I thought it important to at least preserve a basic record of championship wins, games in Europe, etc.

Almost everyone preferred the Classic version, and was very sad to see it go after almost 10 years (the game ran as a flash website from 2004 - 2013).

The game ran every week, with a new "season" starting every Monday. The national Leagues ran from Monday - Wednesday, and the Euro cup ran on Thursday and Friday. And for anyone who just had to play on the weekend, there were the UK qualifiers as well. The UK version had 4 main leagues plus 8 qualifier divisions, with all English and Scottish League teams featured plus a large number of non-League teams and also teams from Ireland and Wales.

To start things off, attached immediately below in this post is the spreadsheet I kept highlighting the Barnet team's stats (for both team and for individual players), with an immense amount of detail (multiple tabs).

Final UK Tables were as follows:

As you can see, Barnet won the UK title no less than 60 times, with 221 CL (Champions League) placings (i.e. finishing from 2nd - 4th) and 30 UEFA placings (finishing from 5th-7th).

The Euro Cup was a VERY competitive Thursday/Friday knockout tournament every week. The draw mattered; Barnet never won it but did make the Final twice, quite an achievement against the big gun European teams (especially from Germany).
The final winners list looked like this:

Most UK winners (Rangers excepted) were from only the very early days of the game in 2004, when the Euro teams had not yet twigged to this cool new game.

As mentioned above, every country had its own league. The teams competing were largely only those that happened to be in the Premier division of each country in 2004 - after almost 10 years, this looked a little odd in some cases. A German 2nd division was added in about 2009, but all other countries had one division only.

Most national leagues had a reason to compete in them, in that the top 5/6 teams qualified for the Euro Cup each week. This was not the case however for the US and Australian leagues, which seemed to be added as a standalone afterthought and were forever largely ignored by the main PFYC community.

Anyway, here are the final standings of each national division, with wins and CL/UEFA places on the right as per the UK League.

Finally, here are the UK qualifier tables as they ended. Stats for any past titles are not recorded, but most here (with one or two notable exceptions) did not do much from a PFYC perspective. So this is mainly a record of which other teams were included in the game from a UK point of view.
