As long as £22 remains the minimum price we will fall short attendance wise.b4life wrote:So what on earth does the team need to do to get bums on seats then? Is our supporters base that fickle?

Bet if the scoreboard worked they'd be flocking back.....

Don't attendances always drop in December? It's inevitable with Christmas shopping, parties etc. Hopefully the usual bigger turn out on boxing day.
Re: Maidenhead (Hive) The Things Hoof Changed Match Thread
Yes, they drop for everyone. But for us they drop from a lower point, and they drop further, every year. Meanwhile crowds are up elsewhere across the lower leagues. It all makes it less likely we will ever regain our league place, let alone ever re-establish ourselves as a Football League club in the medium/longer term, which is surely what we all want.wearebees wrote:Don't attendances always drop in December? When in this league previously we’ve at the least been a mid-size Conference club in terms of our attendances. Under those circumstances, we could always have a reasonable expectation that we would compete at the right end of the table and hold that hope that we could get our of the league. Right now, however, we are very firmly a small club at this level, and our relative position is getting worse and worse every year, with our crowds going in one direction and attendances in the rest of league going in the other.

Nothing to do with price, other clubs charge the same and have no problem attracting fans. It’s a shame, we could really push on with this group, but not with these pitiful crowds.

Maybe they should bring back the £2 hive membership?

Boreham Wood's support is awful yet they've been more than competitive for a number of seasons in this league.Tuesds wrote: When in this league previously we’ve at the least been a mid-size Conference club in terms of our attendances. Barrow weren't a particularly well-supported club either before their promotion.

Exactly the kind of performance I was hoping for today. Went at them from the off, Hall is class and has that touch if magic to unlock games.
Maidenhead were utterly useless up front, however we snapped at their heels all game. Thought Harry Taylor was immense.
We've played a lot of teams in the bottom half so the real test will be in the next few weeks.
You have to love that team spirit they've got.

A sustained period of winning games should help attendances but club need to continue community outreach free ticket schemes.
We also need to encourage friends and family to come along and now we have a decent coach and team that should be easier.
Thought we were scratchy before Hall's wonder strike which seemed to settle us. Then there was only one team going to win it.
Great to see Powell back, hopefully Flanagan and wood are not far behind given the busy period coming up.
Shout out also to Aston Oxborough whose save in the first half and block in the second were immense. Still needs to work on coming for crosses but he is improving like the whole team.

And even the draw was last season in the midst of a run of awful results.rudebwoyben wrote:Gah, I should have gone today.
We really do have the Indian sign over Maidenhead. Assuming we win, our current record against them since our relegation to the National League is P7 W6 D1 L0 GF12 GA1.
Maidenhead must hate playing us.
Let's hope they avoid relegation so we can continue our run. Although to do so they'll have to play a lot better than they did yesterday.
