Thanks for doing this Tim, much appreciated.

It actually dawns on me with this how much hard work we have left - how much more we have to do.

Like it or not, we are in a very real battle against relegation. Still, in Davids we Trust.

Thanks. Looking at it another way - no one is technically safe yet, but yes, there is quite a mountain still to climb. Time for everyone to rope together and prepare for the final push. Other climbing metaphors may also be applied!

Absolutely. But compare it to the 18th October last year. We were practically down at that point! Onwards and upwards.

Tim, thanks for doing this, I hate to give you more work, but can I request another data point? How about 'Bees this time last season'?

But only if it shows we're doing better this season than last year...

If we're being optimistic if we win ALL of our remaining games we can still potentially reach that mystical 7th spot and sneak into the play-offs.

As requested I've done some digging! this is taken from 'painstaking analysis' of http://www.statto.com/football/stats/en ... 2013/table - but here is our position for the last 6 seasons on the 25th Feb. Please can someone interpret this for me without stating the obvious, which is that we are consistently bad.

P W D L F A W D L F A W D L F A GD Pt

Positive side, we're 4 points better off than 2010/11, and technically 2 points better off than 2008/09

BUT, our style of football is far better than previous years. :D

Just out of curiousity having done it for last week, thought I'd give us something to look towards - this is where we've been as of 14th March for the last 5 seasons.

Year P W D L F A GD Pt
2011-12 20 Barnet 35 10 7 18 42 63 -21 37
2010-11 23 Barnet 36 8 10 18 41 61 -20 34
2009-10 18 Barnet 35 9 11 15 36 46 -10 38
2008-09* 20 Barnet 36 7 12 17 43 64 -21 33
2007-08 18 Barnet 35 11 9 15 38 48 -10 42

*When Luton and Bournemouth had heavy points deductions.

Thanks for doing this - I will leave the week by week points off the main table if that's OK - but I will put where we finally got to for the past few years as targets for Mr Davids to work towards :-)

Stolen from Bristol Rovers forum - how the league table will look if teams carry on their current form (i.e. if you have 11 games left, form over past 11 games, form over last 13 games if have 13 games left) - certainly shows the slump that York and Torquay are in..

1) Gillingham - PTS 84
2) Exeter - PTS 81
3) Port Vale - PTS 80
4) Burton Albion - PTS 79
5) Northampton - PTS 77
6) Rotherham - PTS 77
7) Cheltenham - PTS 73

8) Wycombe - PTS 67
9) Morecambe - PTS 66
10) Oxford - PTS 66
11) Fleetwood - PTS 65
12) Bradford P46 - PTS 64
13) Southend - PTS 62
14) Bristol Rovers - PTS 62
15) Chesterfield - PTS 59
16) Barnet - PTS 52
17) Rochdale - PTS 51
18) Dag & Red - PTS 50
19) Aldershot - PTS 50
20) Wimbledon - PTS 49
21) Plymouth - PTS 48
22) Accrington - PTS 47
23) York - PTS 46
24) Torquay - PTS 43

Latest update now posted - apologies for the slight delay. Gillingham are the first team over the Guaranteed Safety line so our friends in Kent can sleep a bit easier now! The other thing to note is the gap beteen the Bees Potential Total and Guaranteed Safety - let's hope that is a gap that continues to grow.

Updated post-Oxford and Burton have got over the safety line - but perhaps we can wish them well after last season's final day. Down at the bottom it is still all rather stressful.

Updated post-Fleetwood and it is all still as clear as mud. If things work out we could be overtaking or in touching distance of the Daggers come next Friday afternoon, but in this league this year who dare predict what will happen. Onwards!
