Re: £1,320,000 per year
Just read the email from the BFCSA. It's great to see us poking and prodding at the club, and the number of issues is quite concerning. It pains me to admit it, but no matter how many ticket freebies, promotions, discounts, and fanfare the marketing team do, we can't ignore the elephant in the room ...

Re: Another moan at the club.
Not that the club shop stocks much anyway. I have complained before how we should be able to buy car stickers, mini kits for car, etc. The sort of things which get fans into the shop. At present the only reason to visit is to buy a replica top, which at best is a 1-2 times a season purchase. Also, ...

Re: Another moan at the club.
Can I also chip in and say that putting the shop within the stadium (and therefore only open on matchdays) was a mad decision. I'm sure it seriously hurt sales as no one can rock up and buy anything during the week, or away fans visiting on the day for that matter. Best example I can give was that m...

Re: South Stand
If I remember correctly, there was a whole drama around the lack of diversity on the painted Arsenal hoarding covering up the construction (was a cartoon picture of football fans in a stand). If anything, TK could make some money out of a hoarding or giant banner behind the goal with advertising on ...

Re: Southen (Hive) The Rest in Peace Your Majesty Match Thread
There may have been a few grounds where a minute's silence wouldn't have been fully respected, but so what? Is this not a democracy where people have the right to protest (in a peaceful way ofc). Are we so fragile of hearing a few boos? I'm sure 99.99% of grounds and fans would have totally respecte...

Re: Southen (Hive) The Rest in Peace Your Majesty Match Thread
Poor decision. Why single out entertainment to cancel but work carries on? Odd.
Hopefully the club can offer refunds as our party of 3 may not be able to make the rescheduled Southend fixture.

Re: Southen (Hive) The Rest in Peace Your Majesty Match Thread
Game should go on ahead with a minute's silence. Not sure why sport should be singled out when we still have to work and shops/bars still open? Doesn't make any sense at all. The guidance on the period of National Mourning doesn’t require Sports organisations to cancel or postpone events. https://a...

Re: Home to Southend
Must admit, it's not a pretty sight from the Legends stand to effectively see no bees around the ground. Makes the place feel very cold and empty. I do think to myself, 'how low have we fallen?'. They stuffed a bunch of families opposite the camera for the Eastleigh game so it wouldn't look empty on...

Re: Club PR
The best thing to have avoided this debate would have been to post in advance (Sat morning?) that communication would be limited on match day. This would have defused the majority of the confusion and anger. Set the expectations early.

Re: Eastleigh (Hive) The In Flight TV Dinner Match Thread
No ball boys behind the goal No scoreboards Not tvs in bar No tea hut with food No away kits in the shop (wasn't much stock at all, to be honest - Looked like a closing down sale) Minimal staff & giant Q for drinks But... A lovely win and a great atmosphere! I hope the new fans enjoyed what happ...

Re: Would the Bees beat the Lionesses?
It doesn't matter how many times you repost the same garbled the message Alex. I am not taking the bait. MK Dons as a club are franchise scum. They stole Wimbledon's place in the league and calling themselves MK Dons as a cursory nod to their "history". I don't hold any grudges against th...

Re: Would the Bees beat the Lionesses?
For the women's game to grow, women need to step up and watch the games. It can be as simple as that. Currently, attendance in WSL is pretty poor, despite the discounted/free tickets and huge airtime it gets which in no way reflects the actual interest in the league. It's a bit of a chicken and egg ...
