Another piece here re Preston. http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/1033-April-2012/8487-graham-westley-is-making-few-friends-at-deepdale This quote from a commenter says a lot - wonder whether he will try to rename the Hive? "His initiative to rename Farnborough Town's ground the Aimita stadium (Att...

Seconded. What a shambles. The club either don't give a crap or don't have a clue. Either way - enough.LeicesterBee wrote:I can’t believe I’m writing this but this is one step too far for me.
The club I’ve loved for 3 decades has become a joke. I’m done with Barnet F.C

OMG - I thought you were joking and then checked the main site.
The club truly do want to piss off the few supporters they have left.
Wow.

Dick Dastardly. We aren't getting out of this one without a few dirty tricks. And at least we can laugh when they all go wrong.

Re: Club Statement
This is the first time in 50 years of supporting Barnet that I can remember the fans really starting to turn on the club. Even back in the dark days of Fat Stan, the supporters stood squarely behind the team. Indeed, BFC wouldn't have been there without them and, of course, Gary Phillips. A shrewd ...

I had 8 feet in my head from somewhere - I guess this is where. But the pitch did slope from top right to bottom left, so I do still think the "full" slope was more than 8 feet.

Re: Underhill
To think we left Underhill for a better future at the Hive. TK used his influence to adjust the maximum slop permitted on football league pitches to match that exactly of Underhill, but the football league wanted to change it back. I wonder if they subsequently have after we moved to the Hive? I kn...

Re: PFYC Classic historical record
Finally, here are the UK qualifier tables as they ended. Stats for any past titles are not recorded, but most here (with one or two notable exceptions) did not do much from a PFYC perspective. So this is mainly a record of which other teams were included in the game from a UK point of view. Final UK...

Re: PFYC Classic historical record
As mentioned above, every country had its own league. The teams competing were largely only those that happened to be in the Premier division of each country in 2004 - after almost 10 years, this looked a little odd in some cases. A German 2nd division was added in about 2009, but all other countrie...

Re: PFYC Classic historical record
The Euro Cup was a VERY competitive Thursday/Friday knockout tournament every week. The draw mattered; Barnet never won it but did make the Final twice, quite an achievement against the big gun European teams (especially from Germany). The final winners list looked like this: Final Euro winners pt1....

Final UK Tables were as follows: As you can see, Barnet won the UK title no less than 60 times, with 221 CL (Champions League) placings (i.e. finishing from 2nd - 4th) and 30 UEFA placings (finishing from 5th-7th). Final UK Premier.jpg Final UK Championship.jpg Final UK L1.jpg Final UK L2.jpg
