Re: Dean Brennan Statement

Delighted he's staying. As pointed out by others he did the same with Wealdstone when we approached so it's not entirely a surprise. There's a lot to look forward to next season. If DB and his back room team can unearth two or three gems we'll be strong candidates for promotion again - and hopefully...

Re: FC Halifax (Club Tropicana) The Milk Float Match Thread

Very accomplished performance.

Two quick goals, and well taken I might add, followed by a solid performance.

3 wins from league two 😊

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread

Could have just as easily won that as lost it.

Happy to get the point. Even if we are in the top 3 it won't be an easy trip to Wembley.

Re: Wanderers (THTS) The Match Thread Dorking at Crossed Purposes

Another plus is that GO'D seems to link well with Kabamba. One problem at the end of last season was trying to work out how to play Harry Smith and Kabamaba in a complementary way

Re: Bromley (Away) The Heads, Shoulders, Bees and Foes Match Thread

Our record in the play-offs does not bode well for the play-offs

I'm hoping just once we get lucky :)

Re: Bromley (Away) The Heads, Shoulders, Bees and Foes Match Thread

We're losing away to a team that's one of the very best in the division on a surface we struggle on. Even if we'd thrown the Fraser Toms sink at it we may have lost. Take it on the chin. Move on

Re: Hartlepool (Away) The Arctic Monkey Hangers Match Thread

Very composed performance. Hartlepool who had been playing well under their new manager were largely nullified. Second half didn't offer much in way of entertainment, but the three points very welcome. With 10 games to go, we look like we're in a strong position. COYB

Re: Hartlepool (Away) The Arctic Monkey Hangers Match Thread

We've played really well this half. Restricted Hartlepool to very little and taken our chances. Another good move at the close of the first half. Second half will likely be a different affair as they'll look to switch things around - hopefully we can remain switched on and get an early third to put ...

Re: Hartlepool (Away) The Arctic Monkey Hangers Match Thread

:D Yellow card for Keeley for timewasting - again! Ridiculous and needless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Also harsh on Keeley, he wasn't near the ball while most of the time wasting was happening, even the Hartlepool announcers agreed. Looked harsh to me. The keeper was in his goal and the de...

Re: Wealdston (The 75% Stadium) The Sweet and Sour Match Thread

Quality first half and after a couple of losses on the road, we looked like getting back to winning ways. Conceding a last minute goal of consequence is always a dread of a football supporter. We're still in an extremely strong position for the play offs. Chestefield look like they've all but won th...

Re: Wealdston (The 75% Stadium) The Sweet and Sour Match Thread

I thin it's a bit silly to say we wouldn't miss Kabamba. That said we're a good enough side to win this game. The team is playing well this half - I hope we can capitalise again before the break

Re: Altrincham (a) The Wynter Tour Match Thread

It’s no excuse, but the pitch was appalling, and the home side (full of decent, technical players) were far more comfortable than we were and knew how to use it. That first goal was a killer though, as following that goal we bossed it for 30 minutes and it felt only a matter of time we would get ev...

Re: Altrincham (a) The Wynter Tour Match Thread

Frustrating day yesterday due to our slow start. The only time I was thinking we stood a chance of taking anything from the game was a couple of minutes into injury time in the second half. Some people have criticised the decision to play passing football on a pitch that had several patches of mud. ...

Re: Sarfend (a) The Shrimply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time Thread

Proper ugly smash & grab away win but could have been very different had the lino not flagged for offside (it looked borderline to me). We so often control games with nothing to show for it, so it’s nice to come away with three points despite their dominance. Need to play lot better on the 30th...
