Re: Project 1000 (106.6%!) - Bring Barnet Back
May be the questions at the end jar a bit but I can't see much that is factually incorrect in this article. Private Eye are hardly renowned for their support of the previous Tory Council or Bob Blackman.

Re: Project 1000 (106.6%!) - Bring Barnet Back
Although objectors can't appeal planning permission if it is given there are a couple of possible steps that they could pursue to impact progress from here. Firstly it is possible that the application could be called in by the Secretary of State before it is decided upon locally. This could happen i...

Re: Project 1000 (106.6%!) - Bring Barnet Back
What happens next with regards the application folks? Presumably the application is considered by the council’s planning committee. There is a planning committee meeting on 1 April but I should think this application will be referred to the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting due to be held on 23 ...

Re: Project 1000 (106.6%!) - Bring Barnet Back
Good points, but what about the £1 million+ losses each year? I would not disagree that a move back to the borough would porbably make the club more finacially sustainable. However, its finances are complicated and there is income from the site to take into account. In addition, most footbally club...

Re: Winning the League
With the right timing an open top bus parade to a celebratory reception at Barnet Town Hall would have an interesting dynamic to it with the planning application in the spot light.

Probably one of the few occasions when it might be worth trying organise a supporters coach.

Re: Woking (Away) The Double or Nothing Match Thread
I would think about getting Brunt to play alongside Clifford and leave Tavares at the back. He is vital in that role.

Re: Logging in
I’ve been having the problem despite selecting the remember me box. I did find that if after going through the log in process you use the go back to a previous page arrow the nonsense I was trying to post is still there and can then be submitted. If Mikel’s fix hasn’t solved things, try this approach.

Re: Project 1000 (76.2%) - Bring Barnet Back Petition
Is AFC Wimbledons ground the newest stadium in London in the top 5 leagues? Although their story is different to ours there are similarities as they also wanted to go "home" after time away. Does anyone know how their application progressed and if they faced any major hurdles or delays th...

Re: Project 1000 (76.2%) - Bring Barnet Back Petition
I have a nasty feeling that this will end with a public inquiry. It almost certainly will should Barnet FC get its plans through. Whether or not TK will lodge an appeal if the application is turned down, is known only to him and his advisors. I find it hard to believe that this will reach a conclus...

Re: Project 1000 (76.2%) - Bring Barnet Back Petition
Very good to see the Club pushing the issue by email today. Hopefully the gap will grow even faster through the rest of today and to tomorrow as a result.Norfolk & Chance wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 16:14 In just under 24 hours there have been 9 objects and 70 supports.
The momentum is with us heading into the last week.

Re: Project 1000 (65.7%) - Bring Barnet Back Petition
Good to see the lead extended from around 200 a week or so ago to over 300. Can we reach the magic 1,000? Touch and go at the moment. Great to see some familiar names from the original Underhill days still trickling in. With reluctance to single out individuals, there are a few names from the origi...
