Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
I have it on good authority that former Barnet, Brentford, Milton Keynes Dons, Leicester City, Cheltenham Town, Barnet, Notts County, Barnet, Gillingham, Barnet and Eastleigh manager, Martin Allen has taken over at Barnet.

"The Barnet Formula"
Just been listening to 5live discussing the Barnet formula and its relevance to the funding of Northern Ireland after the DUP-CON deal. (Turns out it's actually a thing; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnett_formula ) Ladies and gents - off topic discussion. How would you describe the footballing ...

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Saw Whitehawk v Eastbourne last night. Glen Southam captained whitehawk, whilst Mark Hughes scored a stunner for Eastbourne. Whitehawk Ultras were brilliant! Having gone to a Whitehawk game back in September I can validate that - the fans are something else. More atmosphere there in a crowd of 300 ...

Re: Who will be the new manager?
Has he actually joined Eastleigh? haven't seen anything factual that actually states that anywhere?

Re: Concerns
The "two PE teachers in charge" comment reminded me of a rant Ian Atkins went on after this game:

Didn't turn out too bad for PF right?

Re: Deadline Day Blog
Having a live blog is making me nervous.
Dear John - if you're reading this, please stay, take us to Wembley, and then chase your dreams in the Championship in the summer. Cheers.

Re: We've signed Coulson after all...
I'm worried this is all just a preamble to the "Akinde to Eastleigh" deal

Re: We've signed Coulson after all...
Excellent buy. Wonder if Paul Fairclough has done us a favour?? Recently called up to the England C team. Is in the V9 Jamie Vardy academy. Ex-Man City youth I think. Exciting player, very versatile seen him play full back, both wings and centre-mid. Good pace, and shot - prepared to take a man on. ...

Re: POLL: Second team?
lower league due to the vagueries of migration - I moved to Southampton/Eastleigh for uni in 2002 "before it was cool" - and started going to Eastleigh games in about 2005/6 regularly when they were in the Conference South. I had happily been living a conflict free existence until they got...

My bad translation suggests that Davids is doing an internship at Telstar, as part of working towards actual coaching qualifications. I could be wrong.

Re: Nice to See Allen taking the FA CUP seriously
In the most Martin Allen things Martin Allen could possibly do in the match: Played Right-Back Joe Partington in centre mid. Started a striker that has scored 0 from 17 games (James Constable) Subbed the half-time sub, diminutive international winger Alfee Santos. Sounds familiar? Maybe a change wil...

Re: Transfer news.... Bondz joins £astleigh
BBC Solent Sport interview with the Eastleigh chairman says that have approached a Football League club for permission to talk to their manager. Uncomfortable gut feeling it might be Allen - certainly winning pedigree, would hope a) not the case b) money doesn't talk - but who knows.

Re: Bogle bid
I'm pretty sure this story is complete non-sense.
Equally not sure what kind of response they were expecting from the club when they were approached about it - no club is going to turn around say, "no we're not interested in signing high quality players".
