Re: What I found when sorting programmes to move on...
I've just relisted 698 programmes, at a token price of less than 3p a programme, it's such a shame. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116182106218 Is there a Barnet FC programme archive somewhere? Where one copy of every Barnet programme ever produced is stored? I'd happily donate mine to it if there was, ...

Re: Attention Programme Collectors
The programmes have been re-listed as the winner just wanted the fanzines. So I've removed the fanzines and the 698 programmes are now for sale again.

Attention Programme Collectors
s-l1600.png s-l1600 (1).png I've inherited two collections of Barnet programmes, totalling 698, mostly home with a few away games. (Not all of them are pictured above) Dating from the 1975-76 season, right up to 2014/15. I really want them to go to someone who will read them and treasure them like ...

Re: Chairman's statement
When the council wants something built that suits them the rules get bent in their favour. Hence why the school wasn't an issue, they make the rules to suit them.simples169 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 20:30...as well as the school, so how can the council object to building?

Re: Chairman's statement
They propose this to pool the St John's Ambulance, Scouts and Rainbow centres into one large building, together with cafe and sports facilities. So Barnet council had a draft proposal to build on the greenbelt land but didn't go through with it. I hesitate to say, but if they had gone ahead with th...

Re: Chairman's statement
If we ever needed a stark reminder of why it's critical to keep THL (and the associated income it brings in) as part of the club, whether we get the new stadium or not, this is it:

I don't want Barnet to go back to those days ever ever again.

Re: Chairman's statement
To make moving back a reality the club needs 3 things 1) Planning permission to build a stadium 2) Ownership of the land it wants to build on 3) Money to build the stadium. Mondays statement doesn't provide or prove any of those. OK- leaving the Hive and selling/leasing it might well provide funds,...

Re: Chairman's statement
IIRC the cricket club freehold belongs to the council, the possibility of getting hold of even more council owned land on the cheap must have been quite a draw. I'm quite sure TK owns that freehold, has done for some time. That's how the cricket pitch car park was used for extra parking on match da...

Re: Chairman's statement
The Hive complex could function perfectly well without Barnet FC on-site. The stadium space could continue to be used by another club or turned into another business venture of TK's choosing. Let's remember the club itself runs at a loss. He could in theory have the best of both worlds with The Bee...

Re: Chairman's statement
The irony of Wealdstone going to a new stadium as their original choice becomes vacant would be superb... RING RING, RING RING "Hello, is that Wealdstone football club? This is Barnet football club. We have a football stadium going spare that we're not using, we've got two you see and we can o...

Re: Chairman's statement
Perhaps... my fear is that the revenue streams from new stadium are going to be nowhere near that of The Hive. I anticipate the moment Barnet FC leave the Hive another tenant will move in - London Wasps? - and we'll be more reliant on gate receipts TK won't split The Hive off and sell it, it's the ...
