I didn't see exactly what happened but it sounds quite pathetic that it got that far and ended up in court

Well I'm sure we'll all sleep a little easier tonight knowing that this hardened criminal has been brought to justice. It's great to know that in our great country that no one is beyond the law.

"A Barnet FC steward told the court he was 'terrified' when he was beaten with an inflatable shark: 'It was only my second football game"
I guess you need to do at least 10 games before getting clobbered with an large bit of blown up plastic but if you can't stand an inflatable shark battering get out of the chip shop ?

It makes the club and the steward look pretty pathetic. Bringing the case seems a complete waste of public time and money.

Was he waving this huge thing in an aggressive manner? You could do some damage with that thing.

Says it all really. Do we ever employ people with experience.if this guy is terrified by a 50 year old with an inflatable shark what's he going to do when some of the nastier clubs fans come to the Hive. How this ever came to court is beyond me, a warning/caution should of been enough.

Please tell me this Steward is no longer employed
by the club... If he is that "terrified" by a plastic shark
I hate to think what he will be like with 100 Luton.
This Steward should hang his head in shame... pathetic

A pathetic shark? One of my favourite Viz comic characters!

I wouldn't be surprised if the steward in question, was the same one who tried to get my mate arrested for the crime of using the toilet in the west stand bar without showing his membership card.
