Where is that striker we need?
Calm your horses! Yes we are due a seven figure payment as confirmed by Darragh McAnthony on his podcast. Posh as part of the agreement for the loan have allowed deferred payment until the summer, so we aren't going to see anything until then and I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in instalments either.
Does it actually matter that it's in instalments? That is how a significant chunk of transfers fees are paid, after all. Assuming we have reasonable cash flow at the club, as long as the amount is guaranteed then is there anything prohibiting TK from spending money on a striker now, knowing for certain he'll receive that money back in the summer or a later date?
Yes it does matter, because no doubt not everyone understands how payments can work, plus given the amount there will be a few among us expecting us to go out and spend fees getting the best players in. TK's prerogative if he wants to go out and spend before it comes in.....

Shocking oversight from the Sun there, not mentioning Olly Allen in the Allen football dynasty. Did he score our only goal in a thumping defeat at Walsall - plus a few others in a very short but very hot streak - in vain?

Thanks Crawley. Interesting comments about how the structure of the game has changed during this era...I wonder if that is any part of the reason why he prefers to stay away from the technical area these days...and how he would set a team up if in the hot seat again.

I thought he was told that he was risking serious heart problems if he managed again?

I wonder if both sides regret what happened when he left. I know he was asking for more than we were prepared to pay, but for me a partnership of him and Nicke would’ve taken us up. Although in hindsight we probably wouldn’t have signed NK.

There was a little bit of that, when I interviewed him three years ago he was quite happy doing his work at West Ham and assessing the Premier League referees, he was keen for one more promotion to add to his CV but as we've seen with a lot of managers and coaches not always easy to get back into the game despite a good record MA has overall.

We gave him a very good offer, Bromley offered him more and decided to take it. Bar that good season with us, injuries once again have dropped him down a pecking order at a club. NK would still have come, DB would have loved to be able to pair those two together, but not the opportunity sadly.

Mauro scores for Hornchurch who seem to be on their way to the NLS. For Haringey Borough, their opponents today, (Dillon Barnes in goal) it looks like relegation is looming.

A good player who could have played at a much higher level if his attitude hadn't have sucked. I wonder if he got a good payday at Kuching City

Don’t ask me how I ended up here but I found out that Mofe Jemide as an U12 signed for Crystal Palace from Barnets youth team.

He is now playing for Palace’s U18 and for England U17.

During the summer of 2023 he played with the Crystal Palace under-21 side for the first time, on tour in the United States in Salt Lake City. In November 2023, he signed his first professional contract with the club, signing a three-year deal.
