Just seen that video on Twitter. Excellent news! Now let's get him fit!
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Much as I love Nicke, I think a three and a half year extension for a 31-year old is completely insane.

He'll have turned 34 a few months before the end of this deal. Personally, I don't think he's the kind of player who will decline significantly with age, seeing as his game is more about smart movement and physicality than searing pace.

As great as Nicki has been, and as happy as I am he has extended his contract, I would of expected 18 months of two years max. But good news anyway

I have to agree - imagine thats the only way he ll sign, but more often than not this comes back to bite us!

As you say, I don't think there would have been much incentive for him to extend his stay with us without a long contract on the table. Otherwise he'd be better off finding a League Two club who pay higher wages, and would presumably be willing to offer a one or two year deal.

He's playing and scoring, has been generally fit and the new deal keeps him ours for the foreseeable future. A good move by the club IMO. It's a shame a question wasn't raised about his return, which hopefully is soon. Were 7/4 favourites to get promoted along with Chesterfield and Kabamba could be the man to fire us to Wembley glory.

Making a name for himself as something of a Barnet legend. Great news.

Means we’ll get a fee if anyone really wants to take him off our hands.

I agree. Even if he isn’t at the top of his game into is final year, he would still be a good alternative option to whichever younger player we recruit around that time

Very possible that the last of those 3.5 years is an option rather than guaranteed.

Does it? With whom? Not a dig but no-one in recent years springs to mind, TK is very astute

I think it's great news all around
