Wealdston (The 75% Stadium) The Sweet and Sour Match Thread

Post: # 367832Post Bee_Forever »

So..... Saturday sees the Harrow Wanderers visit "their" stadium as we welcome Wealdstone to the Hive in the Bananarama League.

After Maynard left the Wealdstone Raider and his whine gums for Notts County it is fair to say that Stones fans had some measure of the feeling of betrayal that Deano felt when Maynard stabbed him in the back at Wealdstone. Still it takes allsorts to follow a little angry club like Wealdstone and even a complete (sherbert) lemon like the raider will understand the lure of higher league football.

Wealdstone won their cup final against us at the Vale (if you think I am being harsh just check their social media after) and will be hoping to inflict more damage at the Hive (hopefully not to the toilets and bars though!). The Stones have marginally better form than us (7 points from 5 games) but remain 18 points adrift of their "rivals" and 7 points abov the drop zone. It will be interesting to see how David Noble impacts on them and if there is an ignoble pursuit of Stalebuns players to swell the ranks. Sam Cox is also on the coaching staff and could lineup for them, although at 33 his best day is behind him.

In terms of team lineup. It is Wednesday and we still have no news on replacements for Kabamba and Kanu. Stead is not a target man and unless Hooper is now fit we are desperately short up front for this one. I am sure Deano is working on it though.

--Hall-Johnson----------Gorman---------Hartigan-----------Coker-------

----------------------Maguire-Drew------------------Pritchard--------------

---------------------------Non League Mbappe-------------------------------

Subs: Potter, Armstrong Legsweak, Stead, Brunt, Walker

I am doing this one hoping we will bring in reinforcements by Saturday.

Wealdstone must start strong favourites for this game. We will be without our main, almost only, regular goalscorer and Kanu. DB's favourite tactic of crossing the ball at the last moment will be pointless without NK.
They have the enthusiasm of a new coach and we have a diminishing squad.

Wealdstone currently 9/2 with bet 365 obviously not doing their homework .

Wealdstone are currently 18/5. Lump the hell on.

I've been able to earn a couple of months worth of gas and electric bills going against our useless bunch of bottle jobs in the last few weeks.

Wealdstone had 2 players sent off in the midweek match. Let's hope it has disrupted match plans

I'll be celebrating my 50th on Saturday so, even more than usual, I'm really hoping that we come away with three points as that would kick off the celebrations very nicely!

Depends if he plays up top or as the freeman behind the striker

"Diminishing squad" and "bottle Jobs" and yet we are 8 points clear of 4th exactly where we expected to be at this stage.

Either Deano is the second coming or the negative comments are once again ridiculous overblown nonsense from the usual suspects.

I will be bringing a water tanker to the hive on the off chance deano can turn it in to chateau neuf de pape

So we still need a train driver then.

Hooper has an ankle injury, according to DB, I asked him last night during the Middlesex Senior Cup tie.

Urgently working on a center forward....

Feels like a much stronger team. Just need a Kabamba replacement now.
