Oldham (A) The Irksome Match Thread
So..... tomorrow sees us travelling up to Greater Manchester (well there's a novelty) for a tricky fixture at resurgent Oldham Athletic in the Bananarama League.
Oldham sit top of the form table with 12 points from 5 games (alongside us and the whingers from the peak district). They were predicted to be challenging for the top place but as it transpired David Unsworth was not up to the challenge of running a promotion campaign so they are playing catch up. I would say they are arguably the biggest threat to our finishing 3rd.
Oldham sits among the Pennines between the rivers Irk and Medlock and it is certain to be another tricky one to get to especially with the damage wrought by Storm Isha. Oldham is also the home of Mark Owen from Take That. While it will take some patience to endure the flood of attacks from the Latics, I remain confident that Oldham do not yet rule the world of Non League, and while we are experiencing a lot of injuries I would hope we don't risk anyone as we want them back for good and not just one game.
In terms of team lineups we know that Collinge is out injured but otherwise it is a bit of a mystery who will be available. I will go for our strongest lineup and hope that we are able to go with that.

Subs: Joe Hart, Hall-Johnson, Potter, Kanu, Stead
I am missing this one as I cannot bear the thought of getting home at 2am past countless wretched roadworks. Good luck to the bees travelling. Hope we can bring back the 3 points

For some reason Oldham fans think they might be signing Kanu for £200k, doubt it’s got substance but seems a very strange rumour considering we’re unlikely to sell him to what IMO is our biggest play-off rival
They are also rumoured to be after Dallas if any truth hope it’s not before tomorrow!

I wouldn't expect to see either Gormo or Pritch tomorrow evening.

Glad to see Joe Hart has finally joined us. Always thought he was destined for better things when he played for Shrewsbury.

I'd take a strong performance, avoid defeat and no more injuries.

I thought that it was always the news after Dallas. Never the same after that shower scene.

They have signed Dallas from Barnsley.
Re: Oldham (A) The Irksome Match Thread
£24 if purchasing tomorrow!!!!
Re: Oldham (A) The Irksome Match Thread
Strange that he signed for Barnsley, clearly with only 4 appearances it hasn't worked out. He's a good loan signing for Oldham, hopefully tomorrow's match might come too soon for him to make an impact.
Re: Oldham (A) The Irksome Match Thread
With winds of up to 65mph forecast for Manchester during the game it could make for a challenging encounter, if it goes ahead.
