Updated to include the games played in midweek and yesterday. Make of it what you will!

Where has this Fylde turnaround come from. They’ve now got 1/2 of their season’s tally in the last 7 games (19 pts)!

No (annoyingly as I do worry about Oldham clicking). Norwood injured so they have Joe Garner instead!!

Safe to say we would’ve been at that game tonight what with our next 2 opponents playing each other.

Aldershot have Altrincham Saturday as well - probably play crap agains them then turn up Tuesday!

Fylde have gone top of the Form Table, ahead of Chesterfield on goal difference.
Barnet are 17th.

So 19 points from 14 games most likely needed for top 3

I am right in saying there is no advantage between finishing 2nd or 3rd?

This is a question I've been meaning to ask. Theoretically the 2nd placed team will have to play a weaker team in the play offs than the 3rd placed but in practice the 7th placed team could be in form, eg. Fylde and the 4th placed could be struggling.

Of course, a team that justifies promotion should be able to beat any NL team.

If we get top 3, I hope we avoid Gateshead and Oldham like the plague.

There is no way of knowing whether 2nd or 3rd gives a better chance of progressing. But I would say, as a minimum, finishing 3rd rather than 4th gives a 50% better chance of making the final of the playoffs.
I want to be good, is that not enough.

Yeah, you can’t know if finishing 2nd or 3rd is preferable to the other, but there’s a world of difference between finishing 3rd and finishing 4th.
