Chorley (A) The Chorley Not Another Postponement Thread
So.….. Saturday sees the bees scheduled to head to Lancashire to take on Chorley in a Banana Boat National League Fixture at Victory Park.
The Magpies are currently fluttering near the bottom of the National League with this season looking like being one for sorrow for them.
Barnet FC are battling with not being able to put a game on and with poor weather predicted in the north east, it could be that the game at Victory Park is also under threat of postponement.
Chorley is famous as the home of the cotton industry, although its industrial heritage is now a thing of the past. I asked my bud from the area whether there was anything else remarkable about the town but he got shirty with me and almost socked me for picking up on this. I am struggling for puns for this one although I am sure someone will cotton on.
With Sweeney and Santos back, our injury crisis has eased significantly, with Harry Taylor, Ephron Mason Clark and Alfie Pavey also nearing returns. At the moment the greatest risk to the squad appears to be trench foot from Tuesday's mud bath.
In terms of team lineup I quite liked the way we lined up on Tuesday so would persist with this, perhaps with one change.

Subs: Azaze, Adams, Akinola, Elito, Sparkes
I am doing this one by (t)rain with a few bees fans. Hope it goes ahead, suspect we will divert to Wigan if not.

It doesn't matter if the weather forecast for the North East is terrible as Chorley is in the North West!

Mind you, are there any pointers as to how well the Chorley pitch drains? Have they had any matches postponed at Victory Park this season?

Weather does not look too bad in the NW for Saturday so the game should go ahead. There appears to be a dry slot for Monday and Tuesday so the Daggers game may actually happen.
