AFC Hornchurch lost 2-1 to Hendon yesterday evening. Their line- up consisted of 3 ex-Bees - Kieron St. Aimie, Tommy Black and Jonathon Hunt. Hunt's reappearance is pretty startling. AFAIK his last club was St. Albans City back in 07/08. However, he ascribes his ability to play football competitively due to this..

I've also discovered that Tony Dolby is now playing for Cray Wanderers in the Ryman Premier Division.

Dean Sinclair on loan from Grimsby to Cambridge Utd until the end of the season.

Jake Hyde ex Hayes and Yeading signed for Lochee Utd so that he can now play as a trailist for Dundee. ( Dundee couldn't sign him direct because of their transfer embargo).

Ahmed Deen released by Hayes and Yeading Feb 2010.

Jake Hyde scored twice for Dundee in Scottish League Division 1 yesterday:

Maybe those people who wanted him back at Barnet earlier this season weren't wrong after all ...

... although I suppose that Scottish League Division 1 is a much lower standard of football than English League 2.

Probably not *much* lower, if at all.

I would say the standard is possibly lower -

Nicky Deverdics - SPL player with Gretna, couldn't get into the Barnet first team
Morgaro Gomis - unsuccessful trial at Barnet, 'snapped up' by Dundee I think and playing regularly
Grant Basey - released by Charlton, deal at Aberdeen falls through... ends up at Barnet??

Morgaro Gomis in fact plays for Dundee Utd in the Scottish Prem, not Dundee who are League 1.He's made 130 appearences for Dundee Utd.

Hatchy on the score sheet for Darlington at Grimsby. Is the FA Trophy at Wembley now? Cos if so Hatchy is going to Wembley with Darlo.

Jake Hyde has now signed for Dunfermline on amateur terms - he scored twice against them for Dundee last week.

St Aimee apparently playing for nothing for Kettering in the hope of a contract for next season. Came on as sub today and scored their goal in a 1-1 draw in the Conference against York.

Jake Hyde set up Dunfermline's winning goal at Cowdenbeath today. Dunfermline are top of SL1 so have a great chance of being promoted to the SPL. Jake could go from being released this season by Hayes & Yeading to maybe playing at Celtic and Rangers next season. Does this infer that we, and Hayes, were wrong to let him go or is Scottish football really that bad? (No disrespect to Jake)
