Simon King back (rumour)
Rumour going around Kingy may be coming back to Underhill.
Time will tell if the rumour is correct tomorrow.

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
Isn't he contracted to Gillingham and all the transfer windows are shut now?

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
King is under contract with Gillingham until summer 2012.
My understanding is that he has returned from injury (keeping him out for 18 months), but can't make it back into the match day squad. So, if released in the summer or sooner by mutual consent, I suppose it is possible that he could rejoin us. The questions are would Gillingham want to release him and would he want to leave?

And would MA and Hendo be talking to each other?

Could be. MA described Hendo and Graz as his "best" signings for Barnet

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
I remember being at the first meeting Allen had with the fans in the clubhouse.
He introduced a very red-faced Simon King to the us, betting someone he'd score a goal before Christmas.
I think he lost the bet If I remember correctly.

Stranger things have happened this season
Re: Simon King back (rumour)
Agreed a strange season but A) we have the maximum allowed 8 loan signings and B)only goalkeepers can now be signed on an emergency loan & the last time I saw Simon play he was definately not a keeper!

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
Following on from Mr Erroll....the only way would be to sign him as a free agent, thus a) Gills would have to let him go, and b) Simon would want to sign for a club that would potentially be playing Conference football next season..... He's too good for that. Bizarre rumour.

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
The second point wouldn't be an obstacle - if they were to let him go, he could easily sign for us on a short term contract, with no commitment to stay for next season.
Re: Simon King back (rumour)
As he was under contract when the transfer window closed he couldn't even sign as a free agent - could only join a conference south or lower side who are not governed by the window - I'm sure Dave Howell would have him at Harrow!!

Re: Simon King back (rumour)
If he was coming back, which he isn't, as a) he's injured and b) he's very highly rated at the Gills and c) starts every game that his ankle allows him too there would be a way around it (a bit like Jake Hyde) - something along the lines of Hendon signing him, and then loaning him to us (and we'd reciprocate at some point by loaning some players to Hendon, or paying them a loan fee).
Moot point anyway.
