I believe Davids is on the board at Ajax (if Wiki is correct)

Ajax are drawn to play Man City in the Champions League. Maybe he's booking the Hive for training facilities whilst they are over here.

Of course that could be pure fantasy and we could be seeing him play in the Black and Amber soon.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Ajax to get training facilities less than 200 miles from Manchester?

You're absolutely right.

It just seemed slighty more plausible than him signing for us.

Perhaps he has a new career as a solar panel salesman.

He has been seen playing wearing solar panels on his mince pies.

A good time to open a pie shop in Barnet!

Mayve Edgar Davids is acting as Collins John's interpreter!

I believe he wore them because of glaucoma, a very nasty, sight robbing disease. In all seriousness he's unlikely to play again with that affliction.

U aint ;)

I saw Soccer AM on Saturday and Robbie Fowler was on it saying he is looking for another club, I wonder if we could tempt him hear even just for a month? Money wise he must be well of so he would not want too much money and if he scored a few goals for us then it would put his name back on the map.
haha the last thing we need is another drugs farce

Imagine playing in a sunday league team with Davids!!

on the other hand, it's possibly more likely that he's involved with the transfer of Collins John? Remember there are still technicalities to overcome before he can play for us

Just to add, have heard that we not not signing Ronald de Boer, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Michael Reiziger or Dennis Bergkamp. Shame.

I'm not sure its as ridiculous a rumour as people think; if he lives in London, and is still relatively fit, then surely he could still do a job at League 2 level. He'd provide a lot of strength / experience in the centre of midfield, and he doesnt really need any pace in that position. With our young squad, an experienced head like Davids is exactly who I'd go for.

Saying that, I doubt it'll happen, I cant really see why he'd want to come back to professional football at his age, after everything he's achieved.

Double negative makes a positive, so we ARE signing them. Happy days!

This has all gone very quiet over the last couple of days. Are any of the players still "tweeting" about Edgar Davids? Or was it simply a whistle-stop tour of our new home?

The original tweet came from someone who trials at the Hive, either the youth team or the college academy. He saw Davids at the Hive and put it on Twitter. It could be anything from signing up to the new gym , getting some coaching hours in or visiting Collins John. He has since tweeted he made a mistake and saw him but he wasn't signing.

Get over it. Have a bath, brush your teeth and pray to Allah (or Martin Allen) for forgiveness.

Or it could be mistaken identity.

Mistaken Identity...? You mean it could have been Clarence Seedorf!
