6 o' clock kick off

Post: # 5172Post lichfieldbee »

Anyone know the reason for the late kick off on Saturday? There are also several games in League Two that start at 1 :?:

The decision was down to the club, it was chosen as an experiment to see if it would increase attendance. They could have gone for 1. Or 1.30 but thought they'd try after a game.

It's because it clashes with the boat race being shown on BBC1.

Thank goodness it didn't clash with Housesitter then, I'd have been torn....

Hopefully they'll have that on in the Weaver/Queens/Pavillion. Massive sporting day tomorrow.

Also the game is live on BBC London 94.9fm after the boat race, so tune in to listen to Nick Godwin and Clive Walker live from Underhill, but hopefully most of you can get to the game (Dont worry Brian you can still tune in via the website, they will be taking the feed from Radion London)
But the only power source capable of generating 1.21 gigawatts of electricity is a bolt of lightning (Or a Yakubu clearance over the East Terrace)

Sadly I can't make it- any people who live in West Hertfordshire know if you can pick up BBC London in Tring/ Berkhamstead neck of the woods? (FM/DAB)? Or is it 3 Counties only out that far?

I must echo Psycho- with F1, England v Wales, Mad Dog's return, the Boat Race, and England v Sri Lanka, tomorrow's going to be a ridiculously good day for sport! Come on Jenson/England/Barnet/Cambridge/England again...

Actually makes it a 2pm kick-off here as the time difference at the mo' is only 4 hours. A normal Saturday afternoon - can barely remember the last one!
