Official Club Messageboard
Official Club Messageboard
I can only access it from a bookmark.
It appears to have disappeared from the drop down menu on the Official Board. Along with Reckless's comment "It is pretty certain that this board will close very soon." can I presume the club have made the decision to close it for good?
If so, adios, farewell, there were some fun times. And unfortunately some people have got their wish and it has gone for good. The Messageboard is dead. Long live the messageboard!

It is due to be shut down, so quite likely if it has disappeared from the OS.

It sounds like they are going to replace it with something, but what? Whatever they do it can only be an improvement on the old place.

Premium rate phone-line? Semaphore?
Or perhaps a 'positive thought for the day' feature e.g. ''Relegation is a good way to make new friends" or ''Remember, losing a match makes calculating your team's points total that much easier''.

Perhaps they could get someone to update the site on regular basis. Devera appears to have been injured forever!

Did anyone else used to call Clubcall (0898 12 15 44 I think?) on their parents bill, and get upset when Tony Incenzo's interview with Geoff Cooper would run all week?!
However, Facebook - why not? Twitface - at least they are trying.

Re: Official Club Messageboard
I requested it to be removed next monday, but for once PTV quick to react (too quick actually). So the club didn't have time to announce it being removed, before it was done.

We also want to provide a family-friendly site where fans can discuss the happenings of the club, offer their views and have the chance to chat with other supporters. With this in mind, it is worth pointing out that absolutely no swearing or member to member abuse will be tolerated and we hope that you will all embrace the new siteMikel Bee wrote:http://www.barnetfc.com/page/LatestNews ... 90,00.html

I would call from the phone box at the swimming pool, it was one where you put the money in on answer to speak, so as you didn't want to speak you could listen for a minute before it cut you off....problem was the first 40 seconds or so were pre recorded advertising drivel, so you were lucky to find out anything. You forget what life was like before the internet!Moonchild_Bee wrote:

Bouncing between ITV and BBC teletext, scanning the radio waves when you couldn't get to an away match, the local paper and a programme that was occasionally worth reading. Then came the twotogether web site which had a forum on there.
Anybody on here that used to post on there?

You see in my day (and Grrrrr's) we had to wait for the Barnet Press to come out on a Thursday to find out any news. Or of course go pub crawling with the players in Barnet on a Satdee night - you got to know everything
