Ben Fox
From Burton. Don't think he played against us in the Cup game.
Who will he replace? Good luck to him.

I think there's a high chance that Flowers will not rate McQueen so he's probably moving Taylor to RB and Fox will come into the middle

Re: Ben Fox
Hope not. Don't rate Taylor as a right back at all. He's certainly one of the best centre backs we have at the club, but not one for pushing forward and delivering quality crosses.#Beebot wrote:I think there's a high chance that Flowers will not rate McQueen so he's probably moving Taylor to RB and Fox will come into the middle

Re: Ben Fox
Amusing to see the rather obviously photoshopped picture, in which he is smiling. Clearly the club have picked up on previous comments on how miserable our new arrivals usually look.
Re: Ben Fox
Happy with this signing albeit in a less important position. Feel we could do with a CB or two and a few wide players.
Sam Osborne at Leamington has scored 9 in 11 this season from wide right, would love it if we brought in someone of the ilk.

Re: Ben Fox
Apparently he was rated by Nigel Clough at Burton but then suffered an ACL injury in a PSF in July 2019 which kept him out for all / virtually all of last season.

Have a look at Ben Nugents player profilelet_it_bee wrote:Amusing to see the rather obviously photoshopped picture, in which he is smiling. Clearly the club have picked up on previous comments on how miserable our new arrivals usually look.
I'll take the "obvious photoshop"
Also is Fox really the type of midfielder we need: Dunne can go from box to box but is primarily defensive, Wordsworth seems to be a bit more of a deep lying playmaker who gets his goals from dead balls (which isn't bad), Fox has been described as a defensive midfielder, Harry still hasn't scored for us (i think), Ive not watched him but people are saying parrett should toughen up our midfield (though i seem to remember him playing quite advanced against us for Wealdstone), Duffus is defensive from what little we've seen and doesn't seem to be quite up to speed yet.
That leaves us with possibly parrett, Wes, and Xander as our attacking midfield options
Re: Ben Fox
Wouldn’t be surprised if Wordsworth’s days are numbered. I think we lack a lot of athleticism in the middle, so hopefully he brings that.

Both of them need a good haircut.
Re: Ben Fox
The man himself says he's signed until the end of the season
He's played 9 League one games this season - starting 5, seems like a very good signing...

Re: Ben Fox
I don't think loans until the end of the season are permitted outside the EFL transfer window, but this and the OS article imply that his stay will be extended to a season long loan in January.MCB wrote:The man himself says he's signed until the end of the season

Re: Ben Fox
Strange confusion, surely the club knows if they have signed a player in a month's loan or as the player himself seems to think for the remaining of the season, oh well, at least we have signed a p!ayer that is virtually match fit, unlike previous signings who hadn't played in months.MCB wrote:The man himself says he's signed until the end of the season

Re: Ben Fox
500/1 for promotion seems very generous IMO. Think I will have a little wager tonight.

Beebot's post above should answer your confusion.Roy57 wrote:Strange confusion, surely the club knows if they have signed a player in a month's loan or as the player himself seems to think for the remaining of the season, oh well, at least we have signed a p!ayer that is virtually match fit, unlike previous signings who hadn't played in months.MCB wrote:The man himself says he's signed until the end of the season
