I don't normally comment on politics but Corbyn did not have the backbone to say he was pro Brexit or remain. The 3 main political parties decided to bicker among themselves on a topic that had nothing to do with party politics, the future of UK was at stake. If the Tories, Lib Dems and Labour spoke from common platform, it would have tipped decision to Remain.

Comparing Covid in the UK to other countries round the world isn't smart in my opinion, we're all aware Asia is completely different to the the UK and may as well be a different planet & I'm sure New Zealand would have had an easier time containing their issues given the amount of people in their country.
I think we can all agree that the UK government has and is still handling it badly unfortunately....I mean are we still letting fans into tier 3 and below football matches in London or tier 3 areas up North? It's a mass gathering which ever way you look at it.

Therein lies a large part of the problem. Instead of having the humility to be to look at and learn from good practice we have to reinvent wheels starting with square ones.Josh SKywalker wrote:Comparing Covid in the UK to other countries round the world isn't smart in my opinion, we're all aware Asia is completely different to the the UK and may as well be a different planet & I'm sure New Zealand would have had an easier time containing their issues given the amount of people in their country.

Re: EFL Petition
I'd like to see the number of outbreaks caused by attending step 3 - 6 covid secure matches, haven't seen any figures either way. I will continue to attend games wearing a mask & gloves until it's proven to be unsafe.
Re: EFL Petition
Zero outbreaks that I know of following Step 3-6 matches.
Even the lockdown-fanatic scientists have conceded that the vast majority of the spread is indoors and are not seeking further restrictions outdoors.

"Covid Secure" - If it was that easy, we wouldn't have a tier system.jerroll wrote:I'd like to see the number of outbreaks caused by attending step 3 - 6 covid secure matches, haven't seen any figures either way. Point is, it's a large gathering (not to mention the players at those levels in all likelihood aren't being tested) and we're trying to avoid such things at the moment.

Re: EFL Petition
Your comment about the tier system is irrelevant, it's due to the fact that elite football is receiving financial support whereas non elite is not.Josh SKywalker wrote:"Covid Secure" - If it was that easy, we wouldn't have a tier system.jerroll wrote:I'd like to see the number of outbreaks caused by attending step 3 - 6 covid secure matches, haven't seen any figures either way. I presume that those attending non elite matches are obliged to give Track and Trace details and I'd be surprised if the press wouldn't have got wind of any news about a few hundred fans all being contacted following a non elite match. To say nothing of that club having virtually nil attendance at their following home fixture because all their supporters were having to isolate for 14 days!

Has lockdown led you to find grudging respect for the IPL Jerroll? I know you're not a fan of 20/20 - but it's all the cricket on at the momentjerroll wrote:you stick to your doom and gloom - i will try and live my life thanks!Josh SKywalker wrote:"Covid Secure" - If it was that easy, we wouldn't have a tier system.jerroll wrote:I'd like to see the number of outbreaks caused by attending step 3 - 6 covid secure matches, haven't seen any figures either way. Sheffield shield is on in straya so there is some proper cricket going on. I have been watching bits of the IPL as I am only working part time still! i would be very suspicious if i was the ACU watching some of the recent games!MCB wrote:Has lockdown led you to find grudging respect for the IPL Jerroll? Re: EFL Petition
I have been pleased to hear that those who have been attending non- elite games have been happy with the way the covid safety issues have been managed. What i am interested to know how the movement of fans to & from grounds (especially) has been managed if at all, as this an obvious area for concern. So for example for a match with a 400 attendance are people let out section by section?
