Dorchester (THL) The 5 Star Match Thread
Re: Dorchester (THL) The 5 Star Match Thread
Wow. Fair play to the man. Very surprised, but not disappointed. 1 game a week isn't too much, also indicates no tiredness or niggles in the first XI.
Re: Dorchester (THL) The 5 Star Match Thread
Looks like Currie wants as much familiarity between the players with the new playing style as possible.

This will really help the team gel further. The best teams are those with a consistent squad selection. Under Still, they looked like strangers on different wavelengths. WE NOW HAVE AN ACTUAL TEAM!
Let’s just hope no silly injuries are picked up today.

Also another reason why he may be 100% unchanged for this.
Currie mentioned he'd been given 3 games to settle things down by TK, if you like - almost a job interview. He hasn't got the job yet, so every game is still an interview, so his priority has to be winning the next game, so playing full strength today makes sense.

Presumably not much happening as he's interviewing someone at length.

According to twitter we've hit the post and had an attempt cleared off the line as well.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Much better by Sheff Utd today - 25 minutes in at home to a London team and they’re still managing to keep a clean sheet
Re: Dorchester (THL) The 5 Star Match Thread
Players seem to think we'll walk this today - it's been shite apart from the first ten minutes.

BBC commentator just referred to Dorchester as 'we'.
Biased BBC !!
They're pretty good really, I've heard much worse.

Now we'll see the type of impact DC can have at half time following a seemingly disappointing first half performance.
An opportunity for him to really hammer home the job application!

What is the attendance today.
Re: Dorchester (THL) The 5 Star Match Thread
Agree. We're almost too confident here and are playing as if we are 4-0 up without realising you have to score the goals first. Far too much keep ball in the final third and not enough shooting.Psycho wrote:Players seem to think we'll walk this today - it's been shite apart from the first ten minutes.
I understand why Currie went unchanged here but I suspect if a few players were in there who wanted to force their way into the team we might not be so relaxed in attack.

Mason Clark is nippy and seems to create a bit of space but nobody else seems to take advantage of it. All a bit one dimensional at the moment. Don’t think you need Robson and Adams against this lot. Get another striker on and over power them.
