I gave up betting on the Bees after a seriously dodgy correct score tip only came up once in 458 games.

Who's brave enough to bet on the Bees to win tomorrow?
You can get odds of 12/1 from most bookies on a Bees win.
The Blades are generally 1/4.
If you fancy the draw expect odds of around 5/1.

Happy punting, folks.

Surely a sizeable wager on Dorchester on Saturday might be a good idea - they must be good odds and will we give 100%?

A draw - so it goes to a replay and another game we could do without. Would we do an Aldershot though?

Barnet win - Good, a free midweek (apart from the Middlesex Senior Cup where we can get that out of the way). Bad news would be yet another game to rearrange - Eastleigh away.

Dorchester are a tempting 17/2 to win on Saturday. A tenner would return you £95.

Now there's a lot of scenarios for this match. A draw with ten minutes to go might see Dazza wanting more players forward in order to avoid a replay and play Russian Roulette with a winner more possible than usual for both sides. Dorchester a goal up with the same time remaining might not see the same urgency with a second game against the Dorset side becoming another fixture.

It's there if anyone wants it - the odds could shrink if DC tells the media that he'll tweak his side with a lot of games coming up but it's effectively the boot being on the other foot this week.

I want Barnet to win the FA Trophy, I also want us to make the fifth round of the FA Cup and if we can put a league run together - who knows? We could make the play-offs but we're fighting on so many different fronts at the moment.

As much as I respect your analysis I'll not be betting on Dorchester to win, at any odds. :-)
This is their 4th away game on the bounce in the space of 11 days, they must be sick to death of coach travel.
And I really do feel we'll simply be too good for them, even if we come down from the highs of last Sunday.
Ticket sales are moving along nicely so could be a decent crowd too.

.
Dunno, they won 2 and drew the other one. For a team in the bottom 8, that's not a bad last 3 away game record - obviously they prefer playing away!

On closer inspection, their last game was away at Poole. A very short trip indeed.
17/2 you say, Andy?

Yep, at BetVictor.

8/1 is generally available from most bookies. I was alarmed to see Barnet at 1/5 - when were we ever that short a price!? The team could be reserves, our form at THL is not great and I expect Dorchester to be well up for this tie. Banana skin.

An Ayrton Senna put on the Dorcs @ 8/1.

I still want us to win. Worst result for me would be a draw and a bloody replay. Just having my first pint in Edgware so it wasn't the drink (strong Polish lager, no it's Guinness!) talking!

Same as the odds for a Bees 3-1 win.

Early odds.
Real Bees win 11/2
Fake Bees win 1/2
Draw 100/30

Anyone fancy the home win?

Yeah I think I'll have a small bet on a win with a hedge on a draw.
I wouldn't be surprised if we take them back to Brentford.

Barnet's odd on the slide now with several bookies offering odds of 8/1 on a home win.

Any particular reason?

I've followed John C's advice and put my house on winning 3-1 and John Akinde being first goalscorer.
