The day I don't place my 50p it'll happen so, of course, I have to keep doing it.
Thanks, btw. :-)

2 games in a row I've got the correct score but for the wrong teams.
Clearly I have to bet on both teams to win by a certain score. Unless I bet on a draw of course.

At least chesterfield came in again with their 78th consecutive draw. Bless em, they're paying for my Saturday night out again.

That's a bit of an exaggeration mate. It's far more draws than that. :)

Edit: our league game against them at the Hive on Saturday 1st December is still in the balance.

It's an amazing run isn't it.
7 out of the last 8 games in all competitions have been drawn.
The bookies will start going odds on for them to draw.

Well, Sunday represents markets to bet on that are not normally easy to find.

First, the match odds:

Hartlepool 11/8.
Draw 9/4.
Barnet 13/8.

From the bookies point of view they are showing us plenty of respect by making it an almost 50-50 outcome. Our poor form has been disappointing at the Hive but away, we seem to produce better results.

Correct scores - A 2-1 Barnet win is a very generous 10/1. Maybe the holy grail of a 3-1 win will finally come in - this is a 22/1 shot.

What has caught my eye me the most is Wesley Fonguck at 10/1 for first goal or last goal. I think Betfred have put him under the radar and he'll want to do well live on national television. All the Bees strikers (Mo Bettamer, Shaquile Coulthirst, Manny Duku are 6's, with Jack Barham and Bryon Harrison 7's and Josh Walker 15/2. Unlikely but if Dave Tarpey was to start then 8/1 looks a nice price. I'll be sticking an Ayton Senna on Wes Fonguck for first goal and a deep sea diver on him for last goal. That looks like the outstanding bet from my match coupon of Betfred.

Please share your views and tips you think are value to get the Christmas shopping started. :Drink1:

Paddypower are offering a score draw at 16/5
Barnet to win by one goal is at 7/2. Both are reasonably probable outcomes.
Most of our victories this season have been by the odd goal.
Duku & Bettamer are 7-1 to score the first goal.
Fonguck is 10-1 (anytime scorer 4-1)
The dark horse bet would be David Tutonda to score any time at 33-1 (or 90-1 to score first)
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Tutonda to score anytime looks worth putting a couple of quid on.

Cheye Alexander is the outsider of the lot at 50/1 (possibly bigger) . Maybe if we get a corner or free-kick..........

Still has just said in his interview that Tutonda probably won't be ready for this one. Maybe that explains the long odds...

I do hope those partial to a bet had a few quid on Chesterfield drawing again.
It's now 8 out of 9 drawn and I'm considering thinking of them as a second income source.

After our win today are you feeling just a teensy weensy bit more confident about us winning on Wednesday?
Bet 365 are offering 10/1 (yes, TEN TO ONE) on a Barnet win.

I bottled the 3-1 win bet yesterday and cashed out when Hartlepool had about 30 seconds of dominance in the second half. A nice £50 profit (still down on the season so far) but it could have been so much more :-(

If (like me) you fear the worst for next Sunday you may want to soften the blow.
Stockport County are 9/2 with several bookies to win the game.
The best odds on a Barnet win are 8/13.

I think I’d be a madman NOT to stick a tenner on Stockport.

If they can beat League Two Yeovil, they can certainly beat us, especially with our awful home form of late.

Beating Rovers away at the second time of asking, then fucking it up against Conf North Stockport County would be SUCH a Barnet thing to do.

3-1 away win.

PS - this won’t stop me supporting the Bees like crazy on Sunday... the prospect of being in the 3rd round is sensational. I can see it now, Barnet v Man City, Guardiola v Still, Aguero getting obliterated by Sweeney.

I've got a feeling they'll also fill a sizeable portion of the north stand too which will help them no end.
Actually, it might suit us to be the underdog :-)

Betfred are now giving 5/1 on a Stockport win.
With our dubious home form and Stockport's huge away support this has got to be worth a flutter.
