So true and so sad :*(:

Great memories Dick, good to hear from you and I hope you are keeping well. Mine only go back as far as 1970, Paddy Powell destoying left backs, the oft mentioned crusty cheese rolls from the tea hut where the Durham Suite was built. As a kid, we spent our early years on the terrace where the Family Stand was, fantastic music played in those days. Then moved to the East before coming to my senses and teaming up with the NWT gang, if only I'd known that you were responsible for that awful Guns n Roses din, I probably wouldn't have spoken to you for so long over there!! If I had known also that Hendo chose it, I'd have probably punched him on the nose when I was invited to go and have a chat with him and Dennis Signy. That was a strange chat, he tried to catch me out with some loaded questions and he just wasn't getting anywhere with me, I wasn't biting or taking his bait. He then asked my what I did. So I told him that at that moment in time I was studying psychoanalysis at which point he changed tact, calmed down and politely made his excuses and left because he knew he wasn't going to get me to say what he wanted to hear!!

So for all the great memories on the pitch, what I miss most about Underhill is the cheese rolls. No, I mean the cameraderie on the terraces, even if we couldn't hear what each other was saying because the music was so loud!

When you're arguing with an idiot, make sure the other person isn't doing the same.

Really where did they work! I’ve only known my grandad as a painter and decorator but think he worked for gas board before that but not entirely sure.
