Decent signing if they get the 16/17 version of Mensah.

Only on loan but still counts in my book. Walsall have signed Macclesfield Town defender Zak Jules

I watched him Tuesday evening at Bedford playing centre forward for Posh. The rest of the team were giants and well he isn't! Despite scoring a goal he could have got several more if he had only been in the right place. Lots of energy though

Ex Bees on the score sheet for Maidstone Utd today

FULL TIME: A Justin Amaluzor hat-trick is supplemented by a smart finish from Nana Kyei as the Stones finish pre season with four goals and a clean sheet.

Maidstone United 4-0 Southend United Under 23s

Andre Blackman and Fumnaya Shomotun played in several of Maidenhead's PSFs but it does not look like either will be signed up.

Good for him. It was clear when he was thrust into the first team squad he was not ready. If only he had been sent on season long loans to improve his all round game, as Vilhete was.
We could well have had a number 9 in the making.

That's a new one... what does that mean?

It means he's got a bloody good agent.

He does. Considering his track record he's had a crazy number of opportunities throughout his career that he never takes.

Taken from Southend Utd O.S.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Andre Blackman on a monthly multiplicity contract.
“Andre had found himself out of football for over a year,” said Bond. “He’s had no association with a club, no association with football for over a year through circumstances.
“He was mad keen not to let his career finish like it appeared that it had done, and he was desperate for an opportunity to show somebody what he can do.I’ve had experience of him in the past at other clubs when I’ve come across him, so I know what he’s potentially capable of.
“At first we said he could come in during pre-season to show what he can do with absolutely no promises attached.
“I’ve got to say, he’s not missed a day’s training, he’s shown he’s got real personality, he’s been a positive influence around the football club and I think it’s great credit to him that he’s gone from, if you like, an ex-footballer and completely out the game, to the first day of pre-season being involved and steadily improving.“I think he can contribute something otherwise I wouldn’t have done it.
“We need competition for places down that left side and he will give us that.
“He’s done remarkably well, and he deserves great credit to get where he is, so we’ve signed him on a short-term deal and he’s now a footballer again.

"Circumstances"? All sounds a bit strange?
