He's been knocking them in during pre season. One of their fans mentioned from his previous spell at Barrow that he's not a target man. Maybe where we went wrong with him?

A Barrow fan on 1FF stated that he works best with another big striker.Mikel Bee wrote:He's been knocking them in during pre season. One of their fans mentioned from his previous spell at Barrow that he's not a target man. Maybe where we went wrong with him?
What makes you think he's been knocking them in during pre season? Having checked their Twitter, it looks to me that none of the 6 goals they've scored they've in their PSFs were scored by him. Closest seems to be him almost winning a penalty.Mikel Bee wrote:He's been knocking them in during pre season. Just seen that - wow!jerroll wrote:Dillon Barnes to QPR on 2 year deal!!
He never played for us. He was basically to us what Azaze is now and left at 18 as he was realistically not going to get first team football over Stack and thought it would be more sensible to get game time in the U23s at Fulham.MCB wrote:Just seen that - wow!jerroll wrote:Dillon Barnes to QPR on 2 year deal!!
"Highly rated - will challenge for 1st team football"
I never saw him play - was the potential obvious? Or another late developer a la Jamal Lowe?
Can't really remember seeing him other than possibly a FAYC game and in warm ups as he was the sub keeper for a couple of months late on during 12/13 but looked like he had a clanger in him! keepers generally develop later than outfield players anyway.MCB wrote:Just seen that - wow!jerroll wrote:Dillon Barnes to QPR on 2 year deal!!

Also, Richard Brindley played for a Pompey XI in a friendly vs Aldershot last night.
