Still was still in charge with TC in a watching brief that day.Anthony wrote:Also, I believe Tony Cottees’s first match was a a 0-0 draw away at Rochdale the previous week. However bad he was as a manager, what he went through last summer and his recuperation puts things into perspective. Thankfully he's fit and well now. I can't get the link up but it's well worth reading.
And I'll never forget his first match - a 7-0 win over Blackpool with a Cottee hat-trick!
My memory must be failing me. I should have looked up Soccerbase!

Was that any different to the Blackpool game, when John Still was on the touch line barking instructions?
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
It was announced at the time that Still would take the Rochdale game and Cottee take over from the monday.Anthony wrote:Was that any different to the Blackpool game, when John Still was on the touch line barking instructions?
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Former youth teamer Charlie Kennedy who played the 2 trophy games v Concord in 2014 is currently at Gosport Borough - looked more than competent in midfield at Walton Casuals last night.
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Former Barnet midfielder Carl Fletcher has been offered the managerial role at Orient.
Apparently, Carl Fletcher turned down the managers job at Barnet. This was around the time when Mark McGhee was desperate to get someone in to replace him.

The same Carl Fletcher who could only manage a 24% win rate with a club the size of Plymouth when they were in L2? Strange appointment.

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Bit harsh as he was in charge of Plymouth when they were skint and the players and staff were being partly paid from bucket collections. He saved the Greens from relegation and you won’t find many Plymouth fans who didn’t hold him in the highest esteem for his part in keeping the club together.#Beebot wrote:The same Carl Fletcher who could only manage a 24% win rate with a club the size of Plymouth when they were in L2?
