Another short lived retirement from playing for the Admiral!
The Admiral already promoted to Player-Manager after Lee Clark left.

John Still stands down as Maidstone boss, Hakan Hayrettin steps into the manager role, which if anything is even worse than having JS in charge.

Thought Hayrettin was already the manager with JS as director of football?

His title was "Head of Football", but in practice it was a managerial role but with Hayrettin taking training and Still doing transfers and leading the team on matchday.

That's such a shame. He'd played every minute until now.

Has someone told Peterborough? Nothing public and he wasn't replaced against Portsmouth at the weekend?

Time of the year when this thread gets busy with retained lists announced.

Mansfield Town today released Krystian Pearce (quality) and Neal Bishop (love him, but no).

As for the ex-bee that most people will clamour for us to resign?

Although not officially announced Ricky Holmes is out of contract after his contract at Sheffield Utd expired. Although he's been injured for the season, he's denied he's retiring and said he's desperate to play again.

Let's see what he he's capable of shall we?

Let's not. We've had enough sicknotes without deliberately signing one.

Other ex-bees now available...

Josh Vickers (from Lincoln - also releasing Tom Pett who I rate, and would irritate Stevenage & Wealdstone if we signed him)
Aswad Thomas & Andre Blackman also now available.....

Josh Vickers was fine but Scott Loach is an excellent keeper at this level - and Vickers wouldn't want to be on our bench.
Never heard of Tom Pett.
Aswad Thomas is an ok NL footballer, nothing more.
Andre Blackman never gave the impression that he was interested in playing for us, I don't see him returning and think we could do better.
