If your going by train, book tickets for an online discount from Southeastern. The cheapest I found was a return from Victoria at £12.95, journey time just under an hour each way. Now I hope it don't rain :cold:

Another option on the train if there's a 3 or 4 for you is a group offer on South West trains, 3 or 4 for the price of 2 people. Which works out £9.70 if 4 of you and £12.80 for 3 of you (from St Pancras anyway). The website says the offer can be purchased on the day. But the above offer looks good too and may be better if you know you are definitely going unless you know there's a group of 4..and even better if you want to go from Victoria!

They are also offering an online discounted fare, so if you buy the online discount with a network railcard, it works out at less than £9 from London St Pancras! Compared to the Bury and Accrington away trips, definitely alot cheaper!
