A huge number of clubs run each game at a loss, if that was a deterrent we'd see most games postponed every weekend.

There is a maximum attendance on Saturday of 600.
If all tickets are sold at the maximum price of £13 there will be a gate income of £7800. In reality this will be a lot less due to lower prices for concessions. I believe that the gate money is shared between the two clubs.
Should Leiston win the match they will get prize money of £9375. If they lose they get £3125.
The big prize to the winners (to state the obvious) is the game in the next round, the 1st round proper where the prize money for the winners is over £22600 (nothing to the losers). There would also be TV money and, again, a share of the gate money.
So, if Saturday's game is played and Leiston lose they will at least get around £5000- £6000. If they win the game they will bank around £12000 plus more money from the next round.
If the game is not played Leiston presumably get the £9375 but no gate money but, again, the income from the next round.
The numbers would be similar for Barnet, but if the game is not played we get nothing.
Please correct me if I have missed something or got the numbers wrong.

Last season yes.

This season no way, it's basically a school sixth form team.

If that does happen then the 1-9 record defeat is likely to be broken.

We lost 0-7 to Uxbridge U18s and it could have been double that.

I would rather we signed up step 3/4 free agents on non-contracts then went with the U18s.

But they keep catering and merchandise monies. So a couple of pints, a pie and a programme (sadly no half and half scarves) would increase Leiston's income for the game.

Isn’t that after expenses? Doesn’t the home team have to cover the cost of travel for the away team? Or is that just the really early rounds?

We’ll get the supporters team back together to fulfil this one.

Back Cullum to be the first scorer.

I would literally rather 15 Barnet fans played than this be a walkover! Too late to form a bubble I guess.

Further update from the club...

Fingers crossed we'll get a decent amount of negative results, and we can at least field a half decent side for Leiston.

Let's hope so, although with all our players currently self isolating, and with at best a skeleton squad available, it's asking a lot for us to be competitive on Saturday.
