FA CUP 2020/21

Postby hoppy » 12 Oct 2020, 20:04

It's that time again folks.
3rd qualifying round ties are being played this week and the draw for the 4th qualifying round is on Thursday 15th October at 1pm.
It's being broadcast on Talk Sport2.
Let's hope for a really easy tie.

Both Kettering Town and Boston United have had to withdraw from this year's competition due to covid.

Hard to believe that the 4th qualifying round is only two Saturdays away. A little run in this would be nice again. Evdn with reduced prize money for each round, getting through a couple of ties would be a godsend for most clubs right now.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

So who do we want then?

Aldershot
Boreham Wood
Bromley
Dag & Red
Dover
Eastleigh
Maidenhead
Sutton
Torquay
Wealdstone
Weymouth
Woking
Yeovil
Haringey
Canvey Island
Cray Valley Paper Mills
Cray Wanderers
Hartley Wintney
Eastbourne
Hayes & Yeading
Bath
Taunton
Dulwich
Wimborne
Sholing
Tonbridge
Weston-Super-Mare
Hampton & Richmond
Concord Rangers
Chippenham
Havant/Chatham

There are so many Southern clubs in the draw that it looks like all teams north of the M25 will be forced into the Northern section of the draw. That includes St Albans who went through on penalties today and Hemel who received a bye after Boston pulled out due to positive tests.

From a purely selfish perspective I'd like Sholing or Wimbourne away - I know people at both clubs so would probably be able to attend.

Also they’re both at least a couple of levels below us!

Which games could we be ‘neutral’ fans and attend?

Not sure what the rule is on this, for example could a club refuse to sell you a ticket if you live in Barnet area as they know you would be an unofficial away fan??
