Cult Barnet XI
Is being created on twitter.
No reason it can't run simultaneously here.
"Best Ever Players/Teams" have been done to death. So might start a "Cult #BarnetFC XI" What is that? From 442:
"A cult hero has to be someone who touched fans' hearts more than any other, not necessarily through what they did on the pitch but as a packaged-up personality."
A Cult Hero is not the best player in that position, but they maybe.... they may have great nicknames, done great OR awful things. They MAY have purple dice in their cars (looking at you Ismail Salami Yakubu). So, let's get a
Barnet FC Cult XI together...

Re: Cult Barnet XI
Beadle and Hatch up front ?
Re: Cult Barnet XI
Shane Gore (GK).
Richard Huxford (DF).
Ian Hendon (DF).
Michael Nelson (DF).
Linvoy Primus (DF).
Phil (OJ) Simpson (MID).
Derek Payne (MID).
Frazer Toms (MID).
Guy Lopez (MID).
Liam Hatch (ATK).
Mark (spike) Carter (ATK).
I could name about forty different players but I've gone for a mix of quality, characters, nutters and the "well, he tried hard!"

Clovinho
Carl Hoddle. Looked slow and out of his depth in our promotion seasons, but in 93/94 he was well respected for sticking around, and got that dream tie against his brother at Chelsea

Re: Cult Barnet XI
That was a great Friday night match where Bankole made his debut at Aldershot in 03/04, live on Sky.rudebwoyben wrote:Bankole has to be in goal..
Memories of that February evening include Martin Allen in the pub near the ground an hour before kick-off buying Barnet fans drinks! Aldershot had a few nutcases with the supporters coach parked down the hill on the main road (idle threats made!) after the 1-1 draw, 600-700 Bees fans making a terrific atmosphere, it absolutely pissed it down near kick off and both sides were in the play-off positions.
Most enjoyable couple of seasons (2003/04 and 2004/05) following the Bees around the country!
