I'm going to Chime in with this lineup. I think a back 4 will make players think about moving ball forward quicker rather than fannying around with it in a back 3.

Why not give Chime a start? With Walker and Akinola around him I'm sure chances will come his way. He has scored 8 goals in 3 FA Youth Cup ties.
Akinola, Chime and Walker can rotate where necessary to play down the middle. Our results have stalled the moment our tactics decided to go
with a "striker up top" rather than a fluid forward line with no out and out "Number 9"

Let him know in advance he is not under pressure and if he is not quite ready then will be considered for future, alternatively we may have the next Andy Clarke under our nose !

Vilhete and Tutonda have both played in a defensive role for the Bees so no need for Adams or H Taylor to start in addition to Dunne.

Elito and EMC to come on as required.

I really like your line up but I would start with Elito instead of Vilhete who I think has been way off the pace recently. And maybe EMC instead of Akinola?
I love Luisma & really miss his skils!

Tbh I'm continually surprised we're getting 1000ish every home game.
It seems to have been a step change drop in attendances.
Is it 800 next or 1200?

Probably a bit early for Shaq.
If he's back "on the grass" as our coaches like to say, that suggests light training and running, but fingers crossed we'll see him this side of Christmas. Would be good to get DC's take on this. It would also be nice to know where Santos is, and what is Alfie Pavey's timescale for rehab?

Currie said he is back on the grass today.

So don't expect to see him til next week at the earliest.

With back injuries they can be a real nuisance and I would imagine that he has lost his fitness and conditioning as a result of not being able to train.

Having already had an abortive attempt to return hopefully we are going to take it slowly

Alfie Pavey we were told was due back about Feb / March. My suspicion is that we are unlikely to see much ( anything?) of him this season.

Earlier in the season we played a front 3 of Walker, Akinola and EMC. Now I know it's not ideal because there's a lack of height and physical presence there, but each of them has pace and decent skill/movement. Remember thinking at the time that as a trio they were giving defenders plenty to think about. With the limited options we've got, I'd go with that as probably our best bet for attacking threat at the moment (though I've not seen Chimes, so can't comment).

The question over Santos has been answered. Back in the starting XI today, as is Elito. No Sweeney at all though.

The club just tweeted to say Sweeney was playing instead of Santos?

Yup, was a genuine typo, Santos was never going to play.

Adams and Vilhete miss due 'illness'.
