Eastleigh (A) The Holiday Blues Match Thread

Post: # 280887Post Bee_Forever »

So.... Saturday sees the bees returning to national league action as we take on Eastleigh at the Silverlake.

After we cancelled Fylde Away and Aldershot at the Hive because of international call up, this match will be the last game for a couple of weeks as Barnet's players take a break while most other people are returning to work following the summer holidays.

The hope is we will see a couple of players return for this one, including potentially, Elliot Johnson, who is back in training.

With the trains potentially on strike this could be a difficult game to get to so I am intending on using the Percy bus to get there with what should be a pleasant stop in Winchester en route.

In terms of team lineup I would go:-

------------------------------- Loach------------------------------

--Alexander--------Santos---------H. Taylor-----Johnson----

----------Dunne-------------J. Taylor-----------Elito-----------

--Mason-Clarke-----------Walker----------------Akinola------

Subs: Matrevics, Rowan, Boucaud, Barham, Coulthirst

Looking forward to beating the shitfires now their sugar daddy has departed.

Is elito fit? If so why wasn't he in the squad for the last game?
... All we have to do is keep winning the next game ...

Usual websites suggest the Eastleigh car park has 100-ish spaces, is it worth trying or just easier to go to the the airport parkway station?

Parking was a nightmare last April, couldn't even get into the car park at the ground. Maybe the roadworks have been completed by now? There were also matchday restrictions. The airport station might well be easier.

Would like to see the side that ended the game against Torquay, with the exception of Shaq. Let's go back to our usual system and play Walker up top. Looked sharp on Monday

Parking at the station car park looks expensive - £17.30 if I'm reading it correctly.

I always use the following website to secure a parking spot when driving to away games, driving into London etc. and have never had any issue so far - spaces are available from £2.50 !

https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/

Use postcode "Eastleigh SO50 9HT, UK" and remember to select hourly and set "from" and "to" time.

As with any site like this the risk is yours and you may be unlucky that the spot you have secured has an issue.

I'm outraged that the rail unions didn't check with us first before calling a strike. Selfish bastards.

It was an astonishing performance, also aided by their player's act of stupidity which reduced them to ten men.

Trains look like every hour mainly due to Bournemouth airshow direct. Could be a lot worse.
