A message to more senior supporters sad news that Barnet FC Chairman of Directors for many years Ted Hennessey passed away today. It follows on from Freddy Philpin another ex Director who also died last month. I had a lovely message from Barry Fry's wife Kirstine this evening and she asked me to post something.
A lot of criticism was thrown at Board members of football clubs but please believe me I now realise guys like Teddy and Freddie worked very hard with incredible passion for little in return in the 1970' and early 80's for our struggling club when frankly most would have given up. How different times are now.

I remember Ted Hennessey from late 70s. Lovely man who always was polite and willing to
speak and chat. Sad to hear. And as you said done so much for Barnet f.c behind the scenes
that most supporters did not realise what and how much they did for the club. Sad news.

Sad to hear, along with Tom Hill did their best for the club back in the 70's. May they rest in peace.

I wasn’t there at the time but it sounds like running the club in the 70s was a labour of love in every sense of the phrase!
