Gateshead (a) The Haddaway Ya Doylem! Match Thread
So.....Saturday sees the bees return to Bananarama action away to Gateshead in the longest away trip of the season.
After our lazy/ tired players let everyone down on Tuesday this is a chance for them to restore some pride in what will be a difficult game at Gateshead.
Despite having a dodgy owner and a change of manager mid season Gateshead have marshalled their resources well and if they sneak in to the playoffs they will consider themselves to have had a season which was purely belta.
Our season is very much a sharp contrast in fortunes and we will need our players to step up or else it will be auf wiedersehen to a fair few of them together with our league status.
I literally do not know which of the Doylems (idiots) to pick and I would imagine Currie will pick the ones looking clamming (hungry) in training.
My team:-
-----------------------------loan-------------------------------
--------loan--reynolds--robson--johnson---------
--emc--sweeney--boucaud--elito--tutonda--
---------------------------coulthirst--------------------------
Subs: matrevics, Taylor, akinola, barham, tarps.
Doing this one by train. Hoping the players show some bravery and dedication for their club before they head out on the lash in Newcastle.

Sorry for being a pedant, but Barrow is further than Gateshead.
Gateshead seem to be in awful shape off-field and with Newcastle at home, there might just be a lower crowd than we get at THL.
Need a reaction from the players on Saturday and it will be interesting to see if DC drops some players. Just some passion from those on the pitch would be nice.

I just hope Darren gets a reaction from the players.
Let's secure our place in this division sooner rather than later.
We don't want to be looking over our shoulders in the final few weeks of the season.

Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

The attendance will be half of what we get at THL. This is not a big game for them, so I’d imagine a crowd of 600 max.BeeDeceived wrote:Sorry for being a pedant, but Barrow is further than Gateshead.

why are we paying for our tickets full price when TK is giving away tickets for free every home game for the rest of the season in the south stand? its ridiculous!

Tell you what, have a word with the Gateshead Chairman, see what he says about giving you free admission. Maybe he'll also throw in a free pie if you ask nicely.MCB wrote:Eh? Is he? Where did you get that information from?delgriffin wrote:why are we paying for our tickets full price when TK is giving away tickets for free every home game for the rest of the season in the south stand? its ridiculous!
To be honest he should pay for all supporters to travel to away games with a hotel included should they desire and a pie and a pint at half time.

It’s Stephen’s attempt at showing he knows a bit or two about Geordies and motivating the team by calling our players idiots. He has spelled it out in the opening post just before demonstrating his disdain for Cousins, Alexander and whoever else he doesn’t think are good enough.amberforever wrote:I’m sure it’s another excellent thread title but could you explain the meaning please? No doubt if we lose he will be back on telling them they don’t deserve the travelling fan’s support.
