Fylde 4-1 up on Ramsbottom now. Think that tie has been settled.

Elsewhere... Solihull Moors win 2-0 at Aldershot and are now top. What an achievement for them at this stage of the campaign.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Full time. The weekender to Blackpool is on...

And Salford are out of the equation too. Orient will be favourites now, but no reason to fear AFC Fylde. They're a decent side, but not invincible.

And £8000 more prize money in the bank.
That's £21000 so far from this Trophy run.

All true. But being a glass half empty kind of guy about these things, Salford’s defeat just makes me regret the fact that of the 14 different draws we could’ve got for the quarter finals, we got the 2nd worst in Fylde away.

We’ve had decent draws in this competition so far, but we’re getting close now and this one’s a really crap one. Still, great that we’re through!

I hope we win, their fans are horrible, nothing like the fans at their place.
What are they doing?

Was loverly day out at theirs!
Actually they supported their team very well throughout and were in fine voice.
When they scored and we scored so soon after there was a little bit of unpleasantness.
Fairly normal for a football match but in stark contrast to a very nice and friendly visit to Carshalton.
A few of them were pissed too and making complete arses of themselves.

Yeah most of them were fine though the idiots who got up to confront Elito were embarrassing.

I thought Charles looked good when he came on, very good understanding of the game filling in when others went forward and organising much more experienced players around him.

We look brittle in the midfield without the ball and will continue to do so until we get a more defensive player back in there. Not pushing both full backs so high might help us avoid getting hit on the counter as well.

Excellent post we desperately need defensive reinforcements to allow Robson to play in midfield.

He got a nice reception too. he should always be on the bench now as he covers 3 positions(rb,cb,dcm)

Getting a bit worried that Moonchild Bee is using ESP to manage the team. Both Bettamer and Taylor H had a run out as subs. Each had at least one good bit of play for the 550ish home supporters to enjoy. Bettamer had a few touches that weren’t so enjoyable to watch but we can probably put that down to rust.

Overall this was mostly played at training session intensity by the Barnet team. There were a few patches where things heated up but anyone worrying about the impact of this game on our league prospects should keep fingers crossed that members of the first team don’t get into a position of having to run for a bus - It shouldn’t be a problem.

After this win we should be fylde with confidence that our name is on the Trophy.
